Silent Genocide

Black friends, POC, white people who “get it,” let me take a moment of your time to ponder with me. Why are we subscribing to the ideology that our great mixing pot has to become a blending pot? I had a conversation with a white gentleman at work today and race was brought up and he was doing that “white people” thing where he was going out of his way to express just how NOT racist he is. He made the statement that things would get better (racially), maybe not in our lifetimes, because everyone would look the same. Our colors will eventually meld together and create a mutual tan color. I know a lot of people (black and white) who really think this is the answer to the race problems in this country. I don’t know about anyone else but this scares the shit out of me. I look at myself and think... I could very well live to see the beginning of the end of the black race as we know it in the United States of America. People like me could very well become an oddity. Have any other POC stopped and really thought about the poison they’re getting us to subscribe to? The base premise to this thought process is, “things will get better when people look less like us (black) and more like them (white).” We’re already starting to see the effects of this, look around you. Black men and black women are having babies with white people. “Great,” “Mulatto babies are so precious...” Okay, now let’s skip in time, these children get older and now they’re ready to have children. More and more of them are coupling with whites or other mulattoes and they’re bleeding out the blackness more and more. But let’s not forget one VERY important fact here, white people are still going to keep breeding with other white people, especially the ones who,”aren’t racist but don’t think races should mix.” For the sake of easing racial tensions in this country we’re going to breed out the “bad” and make it more “acceptable.” How could THAT go wrong?! Precisely! As we all know even the lightest of black/white people are STILL considered black in this country and are treated as such. So, as white people continue to be white people... and we continue to allow ourselves to get “bleached” how do we suppose this new aesthetically pleasing to the eye “sub-race” is going to be treated and accepted by white people who continue to be white people?

You’re afraid to bleed. I said, you’re afraid to bleed. As long as the white man sent you to Korea, you bled. He sent you to Germany, you bled. He sent you to the South Pacific to fight the Japanese, you bled. You bleed for white people. But when it comes time to seeing your own churches being bombed and little black girls be murdered, you haven’t got no blood. You bleed when the white man says bleed, you bite when the white man says bite and you bark when the white man says bark. I hate to say this about us, but it’s true. How are you going to be nonviolent in Mississippi, as violent as you were in Korea? How can you justify being nonviolent in Mississippi and Alabama, when your churches are being bombed, and your little girls are being murdered, and at the same time you’re going to get violent with Hitler, and Tojo, and somebody else that you don’t even know? If violence is wrong in America, violence is wrong abroad. If it’s wrong to be violent defending black women and black children and black babies and black men, then it’s wrong for America to draft us and make us violent abroad in defense of her. And if it is right for America to draft us, and teach us how to be violent in defense of her, then it is right for you and me to do whatever is necessary to defend our own people right here in this country.

We truly need to wake up!

Consider this...

People of color, consider this for a moment. The war on guns has begun that’s no secret. The ramifications of this for people of color is about to be catastrophic! White America is about to start an impassioned push to remove illegal guns off the streets. The first streets they will come to will be streets in minority neighborhoods. Not all guns in our neighborhoods are used for illegals means, lets think back to some of our grandfathers who carried guns on them not because they were criminals but because they needed them for personal safety. Maybe they did carry a little weed on them, maybe they played some “bones” in less than desirable locations… maybe they just lived in poorly lit neighborhoods where they didn’t feel safe traveling after dark unarmed. As a whole we’ve never been overly particular about where we got our guns. They were cheap, they worked, and they served a purpose; no questions asked. Now OUR personal safety is about to be under attack! Once white America strips OUR defenses from OUR neighborhoods what protections will WE have left? We must arm ourselves, LEGALLY arm ourselves so we do not continue to be the victims of American genocide. Food for thought…

Honestly, as much as some people like to paint him as this completely awful person/character, I love Kenny a lot and barring a couple things, it was easy for me to side with him.

I loved Kenny for the time and place in the series he was given. I don’t think it would have worked out very well if he would have made it to S3 though. Jane maybe brutally honest and did a questionable thing at the end of Season 2 to get Clementine to agree with her, but she is still a good person and a capable survivor. In Season 3, I doubt she’d kill herself of not being able to bring a child into the world. Simply put: her death was a cheap and distasteful move!

I never could view Jane as a “good” person. She made it very clear she was a loner when we first met her. Why would she force someone (a child at that) into making a decision to stay with her or go with someone else? It’s almost like she was setting Clem up to be alone no matter what.

With Telltale disappointing me, I’m going to write my own Season 3, which involves my play through of staying with Jane and letting the family in, to start a new community, and continue the story in a more thoughtful and creative way.

I am totally down with this idea! It seemed like Telltale realized they had opened too many options for the storyline and just narrowed the choices down for us.
