“Yeah, and ALL Humans are supposed to have weird lookin’ arms ain’t they?” Spinel said, very, very sarcastically. She knew humans and gems both had body enhancers but never knew about them just flat out losing limbs and replacing them entirely with metals so it was a bit weird to her as well. Though considering she didn’t know this strange human, she didn’t know her arms weren’t the only things robotic about her.

( 8 ) “My arms ain’t weird lookin’, lady. They’re cool. An’ they shoot lasers.” They’re also just as bendy as Spinel’s, gloved hands planted firmly on Peacock’s hips as she stares up at the other, all six eyes squinting a little. Why are her eyes on her arms. “My arms are special - my legs, too - normal humans ain’t got nothin’ on me!”

Spinel could’ve sworn she got the right directions from Steven… Gee, how did she get this lost? She was certain this place didn’t even have a warp pad nearby! It was embarrassing how she confused she felt right now. Little Homeworld, where were you?

Some gal that kinda resembled someone of her kind was shouting at her suddenly, causing Spinel to jump back.

“ Huh? Whaddya talkin’ about, I’m not a toon! I’m a spinel! ” she corrected with a brow quirked upwards. Spinel looked wary of the other, but curious nonetheless.

“ Pfft, a toon… What kind of gem is that? Oooh - that’s a joke, yeah? Say, are you a spinel too? Ya look just like one! “

( 8 ) “I ain’t neva heard a no Spinel. So I definitely ain’t whateva that is.” There’s an almost robotic quality to her voice, her accent similar to Spinel’s - she starts circling the strange woman, tapping her chin in thought.

She can only assume that ‘gem’ is not being used to refer to the quality of toons (which are, by the way, absolute gems, yes), but rather the gemstone embedded in the other’s chest... Stretching out her mechanical arm, she taps the gem, making sure it isn’t just some jewelry.

“Is this thing... a part a you?”

Having no idea what that was, Spinel wasn’t even sure if she should be offended by such. So, instead, she just scratched the side of her head. Not in a normal fashion, of course. No no, by looping her arm around over her head and scratching the opposite temple.

“Sorry, don’t know what that is. Ain’t really up t’ snuff in my earth lingo.”

…Not that she was really sure the other was even from Earth, either. If you spotted just her face then maybe you’d think that. Until you saw the eyes. Then the… arms. In truth, she only assumed the other was human because they were on Earth at the moment.

( 8 ) ‘Earth Lingo’? So they were some kind of alien? Peacock had always assumed that if toons were real, they’d come from Toontown, which was very much on Earth - but this lady was... hm.

“... Toon? Like, cartoon? Rubberhose characters with long, stretchy limbs, an’ funny gags?” To demonstrate, she reaches into an eyehole, pulling an oversized mallet out of it - which is probably really gross to witness in person. “This sorta thing?”

( 8 ) “... Avery, did we make her? I don’t remember none of our stuff lookin’ so... pink.” Peacock scratches her chin, trying to figure out just what was going on - she’d seen a lot of strange folk around New Meridian, but never someone that looked like an actual toon.

“I uh... I ain’t neva seen this gal in my life, boss.”

“Wh- but if she ain’t a summon, then that must mean- holy baloney, hot dog! Hey, lady!! You ain’t a toon, are ya? Ya got the look down to a tee!!”

( 8 ) Peacock, in a totally out of character moment, is speechless. Not a single word out of her mouth, she’s just... staring. Not with the eyes in her head though - those... y’know, aren’t there. No, she’s staring at this tall, rubberhose style Gem with the six eyes on her arms, gloved hands held to her chest as she just sorta processes this.

“Are you... a toon?” She finally asks, taking a timid step toward the other, awe in her voice. The long, bendy limbs, the classic toon gloves - the design is a little edgier than anything she’d seen in the good ol’ cartoons, but... Everything else adds up.

“I told you to wear a jacket.” Ileum muttered, shaking her head in disapproval. She gently tugged a thermometer from the girl’s mouth, inspecting it for a moment. “101 degrees Fahrenheit. Not high enough to be life-threatening, but enough for me to order you on bed-rest.”

She stepped back from the table, merely returning her equipment to its rightful places. “Go get dressed for bed, I’ll get the bed ready.”

( 8 ) “I-I ain’t... ‘m not tired.” The stifled yawn, and gloved hand reaching up to rub at her eye-socket betray her words, however. She was fairly used to shrugging off colds, and fevers, considering they didn’t have much treatment back when she was Patricia. Doesn’t mean it’s doing her any good though.

“An’ th’ jacket was dumb, and poofy. Woulda made me look stupid.” As opposed to the oh so intimidating look she’s got right now - a red face, beads of sweat on her forehead, and general look of unease. Frightening.

It looked like he was going to keep biting down for a while, until red eyes noticed the others on her arms. Hm. Kirby certainly had some interesting friends. His bite ceased, but not before he chomped down one more time, and he rolled back, cackling as he got up. He spoke in a voice that obviously wasn’t the cute, child-like voice he normally had. It could only be described as evil.

“H E H E H E H E ! ! ! RAMPAGE! RAMPAGE! DESTROY, DESTROY!”

( 8 ) The last chomp was enough to cause sparks, Peacock yelling out as her arm fell limp, the lowest eye shutting off like a lightbulb.

“Urgh... alright, I dunno what the game is here, but you ain’t the same lil nerd I beat up last time. With that in mind...”

“I ain’t gonna feel bad about this!” Unharmed arm reaching back, a large ship cannon is pulled from out of nowhere, aimed directly at the assumed impostor. A good tug on the string, and a very big cannonball is sent Kirby’s way.

The demon is somewhat surprised as the other stopped pulling on him. Ah, there was a mallet. Reminded the demon of Dedede. Right! That’s why it was here. Kirby KNEW this girl, didn’t he?

Once cute eyes glowed a harsh, almost demonic red as he grinned. Peacock would wonder – Did Kirby ever have teeth? Because those dog-like, sharp teeth did NOT seem normal for that big mouth. With a feral growl that Kirby shouldn’t have the capability of making, he harshly bit down on her right, metallic arm, pressing his feet against it as his new jaws clamped down on it.

( 8 ) Far from Peacock’s usual brand of violence, the ol’ mallet to the face gag is all but forgotten, the massive hammer dropped as teeth that definitely weren’t there sunk into Peacock’s arm.

The girl barely manages to stifle a yelp, instead trying to focus on just what the hell was going on right now.

“What is your problem, ya jerk?!” Despite the damage the thing’s bite was doing to her arm, the three eyes along it manage to point themselves at the creature, glowing bright as the Argus system’s defensive capabilities powered up, lasers primed and ready to fire. “Eitha you stop bitin’, or I see if I can pop ya!”
