I started drawing this a long time ago. Then, as usual, he forgot about her and finished just now.

Yule log
The ceremonial yule log had the main place in the feast. According to tradition, the log should be taken from the land of the house owner or accepted as a gift, but in no case bought. Brought into the house and set in the fireplace, it was decorated with seasonal herbs, poured over cider or ale, and sprinkled with flour. The log burned through the night (it was set on fire from a piece of wood from the previous year's log, which was specially saved), then smoldered for the next 12 days, and then ceremoniously removed. Ash is the traditional tree for the yule log. It is a sacred tree of the Teutons, associated with the mythical tree Yggdrasil.
December has not yet begun, and I am already opening the winter season. The next series of works will be dedicated to the wonderful holiday of the winter solstice.
(Yule, festival observed historically by Germanic peoples and in modern times primarily by Neo-Pagans, coinciding with the winter solstice . December 21–22 in the Northern Hemisphere; June 20–21 in the Southern Hemisphere).
I share with you my little weekend trip to nature. Autumn is my favorite time of the year.
