he really didn’t want to get into the talk about lydia’s mother. it was a tough subject for him. he knew the girl, but she just ditched him. a true ironic thing for the girl in the story. the male heard kinsleigh and he laughed as he picked up his child and walked to the kitchen as he smelled everything. “something smells so good.” he let out as he placed lydia on the chair and told her to stay as he walked to the stove. “you’ve really outdone yourself, thank you.” he laughed as he grabbed a plate. he was thankful for a well cooked meal other than mac and cheese.
kinsleigh quickly turned around and found herself being pressed up between the stove and mack. she looked up at him, a light blush spreading across her cheeks as she tried to find the words to say. “y-yeah,” she chirped, her voice almost sounding unrecognizable. “it’s honestly the least i can do. you two need someone to take care of you,” she breathed, not even attempting to slide away. “a-and i guess that’s me.”
