Whilst the guys have been to Stafford, Flash Ley PS. I’ve been delivering a river study of the river Dane. Yes I drive up to axe edge moor on Sunday and helped free stuck motorists. Today I set off early before children arrived and again visited the areas. All was well today, all roads safe to drive. We always have a plan B and C and at times D. Safety is always top priority, enjoyable learning is always in the menu. Well done everyone today from Springcroft PS. It’s mad busy at present, so apologies for not posting much. However today, as per most days we have had an utterly brilliant day with children from St Peter’s, Cobridge. It’s that mid week sensation. Monday, Flash Ley PS mega day; Mountains and life of a Roman Soldier. Food was delicious. Tim Gee 👌 Monday, caving day for KES boys, finding and out linking new trips and caves to add to an already magical program. Knotlow cavern and P8, Paul Shepherd. Tuesday, St Peter’s with lots of treats and fire. Everyone enjoys the treats week for hard work. Mondays we visit Flash Ley PS, Stafford and each week have a different class for an immersion day. This week was Yr6 study France, mountains, caves, coast and history it was all going on. Mega . Tuesdays we visit St Peter’s CA, Cobridge and have a mixture of EYFS. They have made bird feeders, scavenger hunt and identified many different plants and trees. It’s been a busy first few weeks back after Christmas. St Peter’s CA, EYFS have been studying a variety of topics. Flash Ley PS, have excelled with Stone Age, WW2 and other topics. OLSB CA, have been science and history oriented with Yr 2 looking at materials. Springcroft PS, have been studying seasonal change, the arctic and lots more. Each week we link the outdoors to a minimum of 180 pupils. And it’s winter. February half term sees the start of “the Lift” to summer when all Peak District Survival School staff get that manic feeling. I can assure you they love it, and for me I couldn’t deliver this quality on this scale.
