I was a princess and a prophet. A researcher and a robot.

In between, I was in the military. That's what all of that meant. I was always going with the flow. And I guess I still always have been, even when I was as a kid. I still believe. My heart has always known a good time."

"How old did you grow up to be then?" I asked the princess.

"One year," she admitted. "Little me. The princess knew that."

"So, you've been working all your life," I said. "So how long did the work put you through, then?"

She stared down at the floor.

"A decade?"

She shrugged. "All work and no play is play."

"So," I continued, "you weren't raised like much of the population, either."

"No, it took me years," she replied. "I was raised by the dragon." It had been a long struggle to keep it fed.

"Then," I asked. "You were working for that dragon, too?"
