HATE: Why Should I
I like to believe there are no or few hate songs out there, and if there are don’t burst my utopian bubble. I like it there, I sleep well at night with the picture of a peaceful world in my head. But when I hear people leave their life hating other people I just feel sorry for them and wonder how they sleep at night. Sad, wether I like it or not those people do exist not in history, they really do live among us.
The feminist movement is one that has been with us since the 1960s, and they’ve been sad and hating. A post in The Guardian puts it this way: “women had grown smaller (department store buyers reported they had shrunk three or four dress sizes), more feminine (30% of women dyed their hair blond), and apparently much sadder”. Jessica Valenti call this a waste of time, calling ones self misandrists is insulting as it’s mare hate and don’t achieve anything positive it does not weight up to the violent killing, sexual humiliation among other things men have been known to do against women.
So hating is not the best way to be a feminist. Not for Samantha Allen who believe “I don’t believe that i need to stand up for men when they’ve been standing on top of everyone else. Misandry is not a political program; it’s a stance. i don’t care whether hating men is a good or bad feminist strategy (and i care even less what men think about misandry). i don’t think i have a responsibility to change the world. i think i have a responsibility to survive”.
When you hate people you you be locked in the same stereotype thinking you think you are fighting. There is nothing wrong to be what or who you like to be, but don’t choose to hate (human), for that won’t make you better than Prejudice you experience.
What do you think feminist should be about?
