Positive Tension → Sarah & Penn

Sarah wouldn’t admit it, but part of her may have missed Penn a little bit. The brunette changed into her bathing suit and put her clothes on over it. She thought the whole idea of sneaking into the school at night was ridiculous and didn’t even know why she’d agreed to such a thing. She brushed through her hair, not bothering to to anything to it since it would probably get wet anyway. Sarah grabbed a towel and put it on a bag before she left her room and went downstairs.

She put on her shoes and sighed as she was questioned where she was going. Hearing a knock at the door she just smiled and told them she’d be back later. She turned, slung her bag over her shoulder and opened the door to see Penn on the other a side. She looked him over, assessing his appearance as she closed the door behind her. Sarah couldn’t help the light smile that curved her lips at the sight of him.

"Hi," she greeted him and moved her hair over her shoulder. "Well," she said. "let’s go then." Sarah walked towards his car and felt butterflies in her stomach. It had been months since the last time she talked to him and let alone saw him. And now they were going on another ‘date’ to break into the high school. "You realize that if we get caught, I could get expelled or something and then you’d be attending my funeral because my parents would kill me," she pointed out casually with her usual sass, giving him a look.

"Hey". It was funny how not seeing someone for a while could change things. He still remembered what she looked like because, come on, two months wasn't enough to forget someone's face. But seeing her tonight felt like seeing her for the first time all over again because seeing her felt so much better than thinking about her. He wasn't going to tell her that though. Penn had changed but not that much; he was just going to try and be nicer to her, avoid calling her a bitch and things like that. Sarah wasn't that bad, there was more to her than most people knew and he was sure that he had not seen the half of it yet.

He took in her appearance, his eyes lingered on her lips longer than they should. How long had it been? Way too long. He remembered it very well. It had been that one time after they spent a day at the beach and the car broke on their way home. And he felt something stir in him... he couldn't tell what it was though, but it was the same sensation he had on their first date. It wasn't fair. She was doing things to him without even trying; not fair at all. Pressing his lips together to hide a smile, Penn made his way towards the car as well.

"I know but if we get caught, I'll take all the blame". He didn't mind getting into trouble with his aunts and his parents, maybe it would be different if he got into trouble with Sarah's parents because he wanted to date their daughter. Getting them to dislike him before he could even tell Sarah wasn't exactly the best way to do things. Opening the door, he held it open for her. "If you want, we can just choose a random pool. It even better: Mrs Smith has a pool and that old bitch owes me twenty bucks for mowing her lawn anyway".

Positive Tension → Sarah & Penn

Grabbing a small bag, Penn stuffed a pair of boxers inside as well as a towel before making his way to Sarah's place. That was all he would need after getting out of the pool. Plus they were going to sneak into a school so he didn't need to be overburdened. Now that he has convinced Sarah to go with him, the next thing was to figure out how to get inside with out being caught. He of all people would know how to get in though. It was a school, which meant there had to be some window left unlocked.

The most exciting wasn't to break into the school but it was to spend time with Sarah. It had been a while since the two went on their date or even talked to each other. Penn had been busy adjusting to college life as well as balancing work and homework. It was definitely different from being in high school but he couldn't tell if he liked it or not yet. The only advantage he enjoyed so far was to have his own apartment; though he missed living with his aunt, he didn't have to respect any rules.

Stopping the car in front of the house, Penn climbed out of the car and walked up to the door. He was excited to see her again. Strangely enough, talking to her proved to be easier now. He didn't know why but it was. And maybe she could notice the change too. He really wanted her to trust him, it wasn't a crazy idea because there was a reason she accepted to see him again, right? Taking a deep breath, he knocked on the door and waited for whoever was going to open.
