Fall is coming! 🍁 And that is when everyone seems to want family pics. So for the past few years I have posted my pricing on my website so I reduce the amount of texts asking about my pricing. And then I am only contacted by people who see value in my work. Honestly there are many photographers out there that have cheaper cameras and/or don’t have the same business costs (website, editing software, slideshow software, online education and high quality lenses, lighting and back drops). Nor do they spend the time or perhaps don’t have the skills to retouch. And I think that the photographers that don’t learn how to price according to their cost of business tend to fail and shut down.😞It is sad to hear...and it happens often. After learning that one of my memory books will be used at a funeral of a sweet woman I have even more love for encouraging others to print books. I just learned tonight that one of my clients passed away. It is such a shock when we loose someone and it is such a blessing to have printed portraits to remember them by. So many people I come across are always worried about the digitals but this sweet woman just wanted a framed wall art of her favorite image, a slideshow to music and a memory book. When I designed it and printed it for her I never thought that it would be viewed at her funeral. 😞 Your digitals have a limited life and your phone , camera or computer can very easily be lost or damaged.
