My mom makes sure to ruin my birthday every year. Shit is pathetic!

I hate my job. I asked my boss weeks ago what I needed to do for our big project. This is my first time ever doing this and he knows I like to get things done early. He tells me that we’ll work on it the next day. Next day comes and goes but he doesn’t mention it. 2 days later he says we’ll start next week. The next week goes by and we do nothing. Now the project is due tomorrow and he expects us to get all these things done with no instructions. He’s upset that I left before finishing my part but why should I stay late when he procrastinated. I asked for help but he can never focus on the task at hand. While he’s supposed to be helping me, he’s answering phone calls and emails. He even stopped to help someone else.

My mom really let my sister’s homeless loser ass boyfriend into our home. They’ve been laying their lazy assess on the couch for a week but I’m the bad guy for changing the WiFi password 😒

My boss really said he didn’t want to give us instructions on how to do the work we’ve never done before bc he doesn’t want to micromanage us.

I just have to make it until 5 o clock Friday then I’m done for the year. My boss makes me want to scream into the void. How can I do what I was never taught? How can I learn if you won’t review the work???

I’m sitting in a conference room with 2 white men. The white woman stepped out for a second. One guy says well not to get too political but have you guys heard about Kanye. 😒 boy you & Kanye can go to hell. Then he starts saying I can’t believe he’s making me agree with Alex Jones. Guess what you can take Alex Jones to hell with you too! Don’t ask me no bullshit like that. Especially after saying you live in racist ass vidor.

Same guy also pretty much ignores me when he’s supposed to be giving me information on how to help him.

I’ve never seen an office down ties bad. Within a span of 6 months, my old office lost 6 employees including me. They still don’t think they’re the problem.

My boss was talking about reporting someone or something to HR and after thinking about it for almost 10 hours, I think he was talking about me.

It felt kind of obvious at first because there was only 4 other people in the room and he told one lady that she knew what he was talking about. He also told one guy to move over a seat and sit next to him. The guy was initially sitting next to me. At first I thought he wanted us all to move over one seat because someone else was joining the meeting, but we had multiple empty seats so that didn't make sense.

He talked and joked with another lady and he made sure to ask the guy how he was doing. All that was said to me was what else I would need to learn and that someone would train me.

I kept wondering what did I/we do that would require HR to be involved. Surely, us not sitting right next to him wouldn't be that big of a deal. He chose to sit at the end of the table and we had multiple people out so there was going to be empty seats. It just occured to me that I'm the only one that still wears a mask in this new office. The boss is pretty outspoken about stupid things. He might actually be offended by my mask. We have at least 3 people sick right now & 1 lady that just came back after being sick. He should be happy someone is trying to stay healthy. He also mentioned that he has been sick for the holidays for the past 2 years with colds, flu, & covid. He should be the main person wearing a mask.

The next meeting is next week. I'll continue to wear my mask and see if I get a message from HR.

Another day, another story about work. There was a scheduled meeting that I wasn’t told about. I go in having no clue what this meeting was about. I’ve only been here 3 weeks & I don’t really know anything.

This was a meeting for the bosses to reprimand the staff 🫤 They basically told everyone to get the sh*t together. They said they don’t want to have these same problems next year & they won’t because you will have to work late or on the weekends to make sure you meet deadlines. It was really weird bc if we’re not meeting the deadline then why are we in a meeting??? You’re wasting time!

This is my 3rd week in my new department. I haven’t learned much. It seems just as disorganized as the last office.

The girl I tried training in my old office has contacted me multiple times asking for help. It would be one thing if I didn’t leave her instructions, but she’s too lazy to read them. Why should I have to type up instructions again bc you failed to read the ones I left behind. Even though she hasn’t done any of my old work in the last 3 weeks they still promoted her to associate director. Imagine that. She’s earning an additional $16,000 & she can’t tell her head from a hole in the ground smh I don’t feel bad about not responding to her messages at all 🤷🏽‍♀️

I applied to a job that I didn’t want

I got an interview.

The boss was rude during the interview. I decided that I would not take the job if it was offered

The HR department called & offered a salary that was way more than what I make.

I felt I would be a fool to not accept it

I gave my current job my resignation letter. It informed them that I would be here for another 14 business days.

They faked like they were sad then ignored me for days

They said they would try to match my offer until I face then the amount. The response was wow! I’ll see what I can do but I wouldn’t hold my breath

That was five days ago. Now they’re back to the silent treatment.

I only have 9 days left in this office. If they think they can get someone else to do this job, well good luck to them.

Once I leave I refuse to answer any questions & I will not work after hours for them.

I had a job interview this morning & after thinking about it all day, I wouldn’t accept the job if they offered it to me.

There was a surprise assessment. There were things that weren’t included in the job description. The interviewer was kind of a smart ass.

No where in the posting did it say there was travel included. I don’t have a car so that’s out of the question. While I was completing the assessment he kept asking if I understood the questions. I asked what would be a vital skill for the job & he said accounting, yeah you needed to know that. He also mentioned that he would train someone on how to do the job but he will not teach anyone accounting. He made it clear that he told the other employee that they can give the new hire any work that they didn’t want to do. All in all it didn’t seem like a place that I would enjoy working. No point in leaving one miserable place to go to another.

I miss Daria

I don’t think I’ve ever seen our office this bad. We’ve lost 2 supervisors & 2 important employees in about a month’s time. A lot of the other employees in the office are new & barely trained. This ship is sinking fast.

I think the part that bothers me the most is that my former supervisor lied. Typical practice when some leaves is for them to shred all of their guides. We’re used to knowledge walking out of the door. My supervisor said she wouldn’t do that. She said she would leave instructions for all us in a folders. She left 7 folders & the only one left empty is mine 🤬

The place where I worked received over 41 million dollars from the government due to the pandemic. Students received 18 million. Staff received zero 🫠
