I’m on Bookshop! If you’re unfamiliar, Bookshop is an incredible website that lets you purchase books and support either your favorite local indie bookstore, or independent bookstores in general. It’s a certified B corporation, and certified climate neutral as well. It’s also not affiliated with or owned by Amazon!
Come check out books I’ve loved, small press and self-published titles I think deserve more attention, and books on some of my favorite topics.
I also have a pretty extensive shelf devoted to titles by indigenous authors, the description of which contains links to the Bookshop portals of indigenous-owned bookstores for you to purchase through rather than going through me!
If you’re wondering how to tell which bookstore or affiliate is going to earn money from your purchase, check the top left corner of your screen. The name and logo there will look like this for me:
If you don’t go through a bookstore or an individual affiliate like me, I believe the money goes in a pot and is split between member bookstores. At the time this post was last updated, Bookshop had raised almost $22 million USD for independent bookstores.
