This weekend in Copenhagen we played a nice game of pétanque thanks to the amazing technology and infrastructure developed by @ourhub and @sharinglab. . Via an app, you can unlock a box installed near a pétanque pitch and grab a set of boules for free! They also offer other equipment in different places, for example ping-pong rackets and croquet sets. . Their aim is to connect people within communities and create opportunities to play with our friends or neighbours by providing equipment to play with! Isn’t it a great idea? . The amazing Siobhan from @storyandsocial has been supporting me with my social media strategy and content. One of the best tips she’s given me is to use @trelloapp to visually schedule my content - here’s a peak at my current board. I use Trello both on my phone and laptop, and it’s just very easy to use - not just to plan your social media content. . I write my content when I have a spare moment or a sudden inspiration. I jot down keywords for the pics I’ll use (and then search them in @unsplash and edit them in @canva). And on the day of posting it’s a simple copy > paste > post > done! . FAIL = First Attempt In Learning . Seeing my son trying to put his socks on reminded me something important. If we had stopped at the first attempt, we would have never been able to walk, eat or put our socks on. Our whole childhood is about failing, and trying again and again and again until we master the skill. . When we do we stop being ok with failure? When does failure becomes an insurmountable wall? . @flow_magazine has become my new favourite read. The mix of culture, graphics and self-development meets all my reading needs! . Because I’m trying not to hoard too much, I flick through after having read it and tear the pages and articles that I want to keep. Here’s my selection from the March issue. . I keep them to add to my mood board or for a future vision board. . The article on how you live with the certainty of death really struck a cord. I live in the fear of losing my loved ones. I’ll definitely be trying some of the insights given. . The other article that I found really interesting is the one about how talking less might help you made decisions better! I’m excited to announce the launch of #MayMeetTheCoach2019! . I’ve been following “March Meet the Maker 2019”, launched by @joannehawker in 2016, and I’ve really enjoyed discovering new makers and learning more about them and the story behind their business or hobby. So I decided to launch my own challenge! . “May Meet the Coach” is a daily photo challenge, giving visibility to coaches and professionals in similar professions (therapists, etc.) so that we can hear a bit more about them and what drives them. . It’s about raising your profile, telling your followers about who you are, making new connections and build a supportive community of like-minded people across the world. . I’ve just started my second cycle with @yesfutures and I’m so glad to be part of the team! . @yesfutures is an amazing charity working with primary and secondary school students, helping them develop their resilience, confidence and self-awareness through coaching. . As a volunteer coach, I work with a small group of students over a period of 5 months. On top of the coaching sessions, the students get involved in a community action project, explore the world of work, and finally go on an action-packed three day residential of physical and mental scenario-based challenges. . The programme has an amazing impact on the students: I’ve seen them change and grow, know more about themselves and conquer their fears. . As a coach, it’s also had a huge impact on me: adapting my coaching style, working with a very different set of challenges, acting as a teacher when required (not the funniest bit!). It’s helped me grow and it’s extremely rewarding as well. I just love the experience and that’s why I’m doing a second cycle! The charity team is lovely and are doing a great job of organising the programme, and the coaches community is incredibly diverse and supportive. . I could go on and on about how great this is, but I’m going to stop now! This week's workshop is on identifying and working to your strengths. Through designing the content, I dived a bit deeper into positive psychology. . If you don't spend your time focusing on your weaknesses and trying to solve what's wrong, and instead put your energy into working to your strengths and developing them even further, everything will be alright! There's been a lot of research done recently on how strengths-focused approaches have a direct link to happiness. . But do you even know what your strengths are? ah-ha, good question! . Who knew Elvis was a philosopher too?! . I completely agree with him on that one. Our values drive everything we do: our behaviours, our decisions, what we do in our spare time... . But it’s not just that. Our personality also has something to say in how we behave and take decisions. . Can you spontaneously say what your values are?
