Street Stories with @tfmoralles
For more of Tiago’s street stories follow @tfmoralles on Instagram.
29-year-old Brazilian short story writer Tiago Moralles (@tfmoralles) is writing São Paulo’s story through his street photography. As a writer, Tiago has established what he describes as a literary relationship with the photographs he creates. He explains, “I’m always searching for the right words to complement the photograph. I’ll ask myself: ‘What just happened here?’ Or, ‘What do I want to happen?’ Sometimes the visual is as dense as a long book, full of different interpretations. Other times it’s like poetry: You simply want to stare at it and just feel.”
During the past three years, Tiago has been working on a short story book about São Paulo with a friend. “Instagram really motivated me to get off the couch and explore new places in the city, places that later became part of my stories.”
