Ever notice how right wingers endorse the diet industry? It’s all about grifting. People who lose credibility as artists tend to turn into right wing content creators so they can keep making money (think Russell Brand becoming a Christian right wing guy). Then you have people like Dr. Oz and Jillian Michaels becoming involved in politics as republicans/alt right. Then there’s the MAHA thing. It’s all just grifting. The vast majority of bullshit ads on scam sites are about weight loss.

It’s just once you see through the bs of the diet industry you start to see how it’s all connected with The Grift of capitalism.

Just something that’s been stuck in my craw after recently learning (against my will) that Jillian Michaels is a maga influencer now.

I’m kinda picky and I don’t like all bread (good bread…obsessed. Mediocre bread, don’t like)

Sometimes I take the top piece off my sandwich or sometimes both and just eat the contents of the sandwich and basically I wish I could have a little placard that said “this isn’t a low carb diet thing! I love and eat carbs! I’m just picky! I’m a chill thin person not a weird one I swear” lol

I don’t have time to unpack my full thoughts on the whole argument of ‘you shouldn’t be a burden to the healthcare system’ but I would like to chime in on it:

so, all athletes should immediately stop playing sports. construction workers, anyone with jobs that put them at risk, they need to find different employment. people with uteruses shouldn’t ever get pregnant, either. actually you know what? don’t enter a car or vehicle at all! and don’t even get me started on old people. what age do we think they should just give it up & throw in the towel? 50? 60? after that they become way too burdensome. it’s a problem.
