Queso doing some sleepy, happy woos. Some backup from the other birds because everybody gotta be the center of attention always.

I put this misting fan in the bird room. Cockatiels seem to enjoy it I think.

Out at Big Gay Market in Albany's Washington Park today until 4! Come get some dice and meet Charlie! This is his first time at a market!

Here's the cockatiels mad that I don't have 3 hands for skritches. Let me pet Cookie! (Pierogi and Pooka were fine. They flew off to different parts of the room)

Welp. The cockatiels have discovered Dungeons and Dragons

I've been trying to get the birds to come out of the bird room more. There's a few of them that don't like leaving it. Pierogi has to land everywhere he shouldn't, including the fan. And that fan is never on. Because birds. As is evidenced by the dust and cobwebs. So is a perch I guess.

Anyway here's Queso yelling back at fireworks

"Just wearing glasses shouldn't be a disguise for Superman. That wouldn't work." Oh yeah? Well I just took off my glasses to clean them and Hurley bit my ear because I was suddenly a whole new person.

When you walk in the bird room and immediately have an audience above you and at least two birds on you.

So unfortunately Charlie still barbers/plucks this specific area about once a year. Usually around this time too. He has been to a vet about it before with no answers. The assumption is that it's hormonal. Have you ever had a bird do this?

Took the money from the bird tip box we got at the events I sold dice at and got some toys!
