Miraggio.
Il contrario di me stessa, la contraddizione per eccellenza.
Torretta Granitola (Approdo dei Saraceni)
Today me and my friends visited Torretta, It was a super dangerous heaven. It is a places full of caves, where ancient people living in Sicily got their materials. Nowadays the floor is super slippery because it is always wet, and there is no sand, the rocks are really dangerous, that's why one of my friend fell today and got scratched. Aside of the danger, this place has a magical aura, because of the colours and the smell that I recognize as mine, my Sicilian traits, and the caves that hug you with their shadows when the sun goes down, it makes you feel like the place is giving you the chance to visit it, welcoming you with amazing colours, the sound of the sea and some jazz music around the bars, and the rocks that I recognize are the ones used for the temples. It is familiar, so familiar that it is breathtaking.❤️
This is the second post I am trying to do I hope I finally get to share it, I said before that I love to collect picture of the places I visit because it is like building up a palette for every place I go, it is so much fun!
I’M SO HAPPY! 🖤
Tonight was the best ever! Me and my friend has such a nice dinner together, I made my house as aesthetic as I could so I put little lights in the trees, it felt like an '80 party, I haven't felt so good in so long. It's me, my friends, my relaxing garden and a Stranger Things atmosphere surrounding us.
A nice story.
So! Story time!
This story is about a girl who was 3 years old in 1960 and lived in the town near mine in Sicily, Campobello. Nowadays it's considered a small town and doesn't seem to be too much relevant in the region, but it fascinates me because it's so little but has so much history in it. This books talks about traditions and historical change of the '60s, some people of the book may still be alive, some places are still there, some traditions are still taking place and I feel part of the world that I read!
The name is: I Giorni Sono Stanze Di Cristallo

-:"Wow...That's such a good metaphor."
Yesterday night I was out with my friends and one of them, one I think is the most important of them all said this stupid thing, but I Thought it was like the coolest thing he could ever say because I overstimate him so much. I made a drawing out of it because we are so silly
MAZARA DEL VALLO.
Today was another day of diving into Sicily's culture! Mazara has 2 faces, Sicilian and Eastern culture's, so when you walk down the street of it you may find some Sicilian history such as Greek mythology and then find some poems written in Arabic or Turkish (I don't know because I can't recognize it). It is amazing, it has amazing beaches with cute stones and the sound of water flowing by is so relaxing. We sat on this little beach today and just talked, with new friends and old ones. It was very amazing and I kept thinking about how much I loved every one of them. Then we went eating sushi but actually none of the above was eaten by me because I am such a picky eater!
This super cute view is on point.

A nice story I want to tell you.
These here are Selinunte's temples, I live really close to them so they are part of my history, origins and culture. These are in Sicily, Italy. I always think they don't get the attention they need. If you don't know the origins, the temples were builted up carrying huge blocks from a far place to another and then they were sculpted with an amazing technique so that you could see them in all their beauty. The dimension are huge, you really feel a small little human compared to them. They were dedicated to Gods, and the entrance is always toward east because that's were the sun rises, and that indicates life. The temple you see there, still standing after a massive earthquake is the E Temple dedicated to Hera, Zeus's sister and wife. There everyone bringed gifts and treasures to donate. Today it felt amazing, I feel myself when I am there, these structures define my culture, our "massive simplicity". I love my country, I am so excited to learn about lots of places but this here will always be mine.
