Spring Degrees

There's something that just feels plain awesome about the first day of the year you can roll your car window down.

Christmas Trees

Once a year, and only once a year (ok, maybe twice), I like biting off the tip of a Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cake. Biting the top off the tree is the best part of the cake.

Update: I've managed to get my good computer to steal my neighbor's internet, so updating should be easier again! Yay, being happy for free or until I get caught!

Rain

The sound of the pouring rain woke me up last night. The sound of rain is one of my favorite things.

Another one of my favorite things is when the sound of the construction stops because of the rain. Yay!

Moving

The best piece of furniture to move is a couch. It's so difficult to maneuver and you get so sweaty and tired. But once it's where it's supposed to be, you can just sit down!

Tired

Being tired doesn't feel very good. But, it's nice to be tired when you know you've worked hard during the day and worked for the rest ahead. Having a good, productive day is the best kind of tired there is.

Note: I haven't given up on happiness every day...I've just been busy and in the process of moving. Stay smiling.

Figuring out an answer that has always eluded you feels enlightening and refreshing.

Yesterday I figured out the science behind prayer. I now know how a major percentage of prayers are answered...and it feels wonderful on my heart.

End-of-Day

So maybe I'm just weird, but I always feel so relieved and happy at the end of my workday when the register is all evened out/zeroed out/accounted for. When all of the money is correct.

So more simply for you, perhaps you can just love leaving work without having to worry about when you have to go back next. You can completely and utterly relax for the night.

Cleanse your soul

1. Put your favorite clothes/blankets/etc. into a dryer.

2. Turn the dryer on.

3. Wait 10 minutes (or until clothes are dry if they were wet).

4. Remove clothes from dryer.

5. Put clothes on your body.

Your soul has now been cleansed. <3

Bottom line

Someone once said that, once you hit rock bottom, the only way you can move is up.

Every moment of the climb immediately after hitting the bottom is nice. Those moments feel like little ripples on your heart, shedding unhappiness away. Sure. The chances of slipping back increase the higher you climb, but someone else once said that there is no reward without risk.

Also: Be graceful. Everyone always forgets the importance of grace.

There's no such thing as...

It's nice when someone else makes you lunch. It's happy.

It happened to me 3 times this week (but I think only one really counted...the other two were catered...but whatever.)

Not having to make your own lunch occasionally is nice. Thank you providers of food in my life this week. :)

To be a painter

So, I was at an arts an crafts store with a former boyfriend once drooling over all of the art supplies I couldn't afford and we happened upon the paintbrushes. I grabbed one and felt the bristles they way they are on a brand new paintbrush- the way they are all gathered perfect and stiff together.

And then I pushed them all apart to make them soft.

It is one of the best things about paintbrushes.

He told me not to do that because I was taking away the other person's satisfaction of buying a new paintbrush. And it was true. To this day I can only break apart bristles of paintbrushes I buy...which happens pretty much never. But, I wouldn't buy a paintbrush that I couldn't break apart the bristles to, so this made sense to me.

Ok, so I did it on one other occasion, but I couldn't resist. Painters get such a treat!
