Hi; I’m a mixed Native American (Ayamara Quechua) system with a bunch of neurodivergence. I’m also a cripple (physically disabled). I’m an adult, in my 20s. While specific alters in the system might identify differently, we broadly identify as a trans guy.

Hypermobility Spectrum Disorder

Ligament damage from a bad injury (aka my handle)

Tendinitis

Plantar fasciitis (this is a BITCH)

Insulin resistance (probably diabetic but doctors are shit)

Autism (MSN) and ADHD (combined type)

PTSD, DID, ASPD

Long COVID

Suspected/getting tested for

Fibromyalgia

Dysautonomic disorders

ME/CFS (from long covid)

Fluoroquinolone toxicity

Can we talk about how fucked it is when you have a chronic illness that’s seen as “minor” or just an annoyance by general society when it’s massively disabling to you?

My plantar fasciitis is seen by outsiders as like, an “old person” condition that should be a little annoying to me at worst.

But this fucking shit HURTS. Imagine feeling your own fascia pulling every time you walk? Like it has literally been so bad that I physically could not walk.

My point is, even if people see your disability as “minor”, that doesn’t take away from the fact that it could be disabling and severely limiting to you.

I took a long break cause I did NOT have the spoons at all for this.

In the months I’ve been gone I’ve…

- graduated college

- gotten COVID again because of reckless family members

- started working part time

- got diagnosed with ASPD

- grown my platform on instagram (@/angry_autist)

Health update for those who care:

Had a hypomanic episode because I forgot to pick up my antispsychotics

Which led to me overdoing physical activity and therefore a BAD pain flare up that I’m still going through

I have received confirmation via MRI and ultrasound that my ankle has in fact been sprained for six years. My other ankle has considerable damage as well.

Several doctors have mentioned EDS (hypermobile and Classical) to me based on the type of ligament and tendon damage I have

I need to get injections in my ankles and then surgery on the bad one. At least there’s a solution!

More updates: can’t get the injections for my stupid ankle because the interaction with my pain management meds will make me bleed out…

this is APPARENTLY a HOT FUCKING TAKE but

i would rather someone live out the rest of their life dependent on or addicted to a pain medication that helps with their pain, than suffer in pain that could be helped for the rest of their life just so self-righteous dicks can say "thank god they're not an addict"

Crip Tip: “Rate your pain on a scale from 1-10”

Give your doctor a frame of reference!!!

For example: I say, “when I broke my elbow, that was about a 5. Right now my foot pain is at an 8”.

I’d suggest choosing a common experience as your reference, like a broken bone or first degree burn. Or, if you have an experience known for high levels of pain (for example, spinal fusion or kidney stone), you can say “that is my level [x] pain, I am at a level [y]”.
