“I’m with you. No matter what else you have in your head I’m with you and I love you.”
— Ernest Hemingway // The Garden of Eden
ok so until the age of twelve i genuinely thought that other girls being attracted to boys was just this big inside joke and that no one actually meant it and i was absolutely shook when i realized that there were girls who honestly liked dudes. anyway i just wanted to say that i spent years of my life thinking heterosexuality was this giant exaggerated in joke and tbh i want to go back to that
Tips That Can Save Your Kid’s Life.
THIS IS IMPORTANT
When I was a child, from the time I was about four and could understand things, my mom told me and my brother that we should have a secret word. That way, if we were ever in trouble or felt unsafe and we didn’t want the people around us to know we needed her to come get us, we could let her know. So she let us pick the word and my brother and I chose the phrase “peanut butter cups.” (I’m happy to share the phrase now since both my brother and I are adults now).
I used the phrase twice in my life. Once, I was at a friends house when I eight years old. Her dad got really drunk and was throwing things against the wall. I was really scared and I didn’t want to draw attention to myself on the phone when I called my mom to come get me because I didn’t know if he would get more violent if I asked her to come get me. So I called her and was calm and after a couple minutes I asked “Hey mommy, did you get me those peanut butter cups from the store?” And she said “I’ll be right there.” And she came and got me within minutes.
Second, I was a teenager spending the night at a friends house. Her brother and dad were drinking and they started talking about things that made me uncomfortable - ie: what they liked to do to women. My friend didn’t seem perturbed and said that was normal for them and that I shouldn’t worry. But I was worried because they were really drunk and I was 15 and the only ‘woman’ around that wasn’t related to them. I went in my friends room, told her I needed to call my mom and say goodnight. Before I hung up with her I asked “Next time we go to the store, can we get some peanut butters cups? I’ve been craving them.” And she came and got me, just like that.
Two incidents, one as a young child, one years later as a teen. Don’t discredit this stuff, it fucking works. My brother used it a few times too. Let your child pick the word and no never, ever, ever, ever get mad at them for using it no matter what it is.
DO NOT SCROLL PAST THAT.
Working on anything in a cafe is so perfect. I feel like I'm in a movie and it makes me feel warm and supported by all the other people working there even though I don't say a word to any of them and they probably don't really notice me. The smell of coffee fills the air triggering energy and motivation from late night cramming and it's also calming like sitting by a window watching the rain rush down the glass and the lightening crash down from the clouds. There is a connection to each person in the room, because they each feel the same thing; that's why they keep coming back. It's like everyone just understands that if you have nowhere to feel okay and safe then you go to the cafe until you feel better.
I dunno, maybe it's just me.
List of crystals and how NOT to charge them
I kinda need to make this list for myself and I thought I would make it here. Just to be as clear as possible, DO NOT, and I mean DO NOT, charge them this way as it will damage your crystal and depending on what kind it is, it can be harmful for you as well. This list will not be alphabetized because I’m a little disorderly (lmao).

Essential Oils & Correspondences
Healing Chakra Imbalances
Learned how to extract pigments from leaves and flowers and various other things. As well as learning how to make essential oils in biology lab today. Science and magick go hand in hand.
TELL US HOW
Using isopropyl alcohol or ethanol put it in a heat safe container about 50-100 mL depending on how much pigment you want and how concentrated you want it to be. Once it starts to boil add your leaves or plants of any kind. I was told even pumpkin would work!
Then boil for about 10 minutes or longer til you get the color you want or til the color in the plant is gone/heavily faded. Make sure to not let the ethanol/alcohol burn dry.
That’s for pigments.
For essential oil he said fill a container with that much olive oil (more like 50ml for that one since it won’t burn dry) and boil your plants in it for about 5 minutes and then let the plant sit in the oil for 48 hours and then strain using like a cheesecloth or something so you don’t get any plant particles.
This is neat! I definitely want to try the pigments! The essential oil process your talking about is actually for making herbal infused oils, which is different than essential oils. Herbal Infused Oils are fatty oils like olive oil, coconut oil, vegetable oil, etc. which, once infused with herbs, are generally safe for your skin. You can use them to make salves and creams and candles, using wax and a double boiler. There’s a couple ways to make herbal infused oils, all of which can be done at home and are really fun! Though some of them require more precautions than others.
Essential oils, on the other hand, are made using steam distillation, where the plant is boiled and the steam is what’s collected/separated to use. You’ll usually need a special apparatus for steam distillation, it’s a little more difficult. Essential oils are highly concentrated and not safe for skin, but they evaporate easily and are very fragrant so they’re usually used for aromatherapy.
Fuck yes
Brain used surf! It wasn’t very effective…

Does anyone have any tips for getting parents to use your pronouns? Also eventually getting them to be open to using a new name? It's been over a week and neither of them have used any of my pronouns even once and they don't correct themselves at all. They don't seem to be trying and it hurts. Any input helps!
not exactly friendly reminder that it costs 0.00 $ to respect nonbinary people pronouns. this means acknowledging them AND using them
