Donut Shop Death covers "I Was A Teenage Flesh Fiend" by The BlowHoles In May 2006, I was contacted by guy named Chris Kee on MySpace. He asked me to play bass in his band, The BlowHoles. They were the college-aged leftovers of a high school punk band from Bristol, WI. I ended up becoming the final key member of the band before it completely fell apart. Over the course of the next year, I worked hard with Chris to keep it together, but we faced shit piled upon more shit, time after time. We had a drummer with PTSD and a drummer with STDs. We had drugs, we had sex, we had rock and roll, but we never had much of an audience. It was craptastic!
I haven't been in a band since. The horror genre meant a lot to The BlowHoles. Once, I spent a whole weekend hanging out in the band basement with Chris and harassing Lloyd Kaufman at a horror convention down the street. This song is pretty horrific, and it was written before I joined, but we played it a lot. This video was shot at a Halloween party that I played last year. I sang this song in front of a baby.
This is a cover of a song by my pal Adam Lore that I performed at Skrappy's a few months ago.
Check out my rock star antics about one third of the way through the video.
Donut Shop Death - 02/11/2012
This is the first song that I have ever written in only two days, as well as one of the poppiest songs I have ever written. It usually takes me at least two months to write a song. This is also the first thing I have recorded with the Yamaha PSS-30 that I picked up at Salvation Army for $2 in April. The solo I used it for is sort of a rip-off of the one in the end of "Demon Sweat" by Ween, but it happened accidentally and it fit the situation I was writing about, so I was satisfied with it. I recorded all of the vocals in my phone booth, which makes a great recording booth.
New Whyway demo
Blood Bath demo I recorded this using Garage Band on my iPhone and I am very pleased with how it turned out.
A song for Toonces

Donut Shop Death - This Will Cost You
Cover of Ashtray Monument by Jawbreaker
One time, Andy asked me to hang out and play some of his songs with him. We ended up recording this on my phone because he didn't want to spend forever setting his recording equipment.
