I drew a random Twi’lek at work today. Thankfully, the early morning downpour scared of most people so I had a nice an quiet morning.

I am surprising happy with how this came out. I was just messing around with a potential design idea for an character in an original story idea I have been kicking around in my head. As someone who can control plants she has the totally unoriginal nickname Rose.

What is with this child’s hair… I don’t understand it. I also should not try and draw anime characters in whatever cartoon style I have. Anyways, here’s an Deku from my hero academia.

I always forget how much I like drawing flowers. So here are some geraniums.

Okay so I did work on some traditional art today but most of it is in WIP stage so have some bobbin lace instead. I am having so much fun trying to figure out how to work the different stitches, its a lot of trial and error, but I am getting it.

Weird day for both drawing and work. We had a crazy morning rush and no visitors for over 2 hours in the afternoon. So here have a wave I tried to draw. I mostly draw people so I wanted the challenge of trying something new.

I have drawn a lot of Twi’leks in the past couple of weeks so here have a togruta.

I saw a lot of the Circle of Magic by Tamora Pierce recently and that books series was so influential to me as a small human. So here have a Briar Moss, my fav little plant mage. I have the headcanon that in a Modern Au, that his favorite jacket is an old jeans one that Sandry covered in embroidery flowers. If you want to be wicked impressed with fiber art, you should look up thread painting, its the shit and Sandry would love it.

Playing around with flowers today. These are gladiolus flowers which I found out after drawing them means strength and moral integrity. cool beans.

Sorry about missing yesterday. I went to see Wonder Woman after work and got home really late. But Wonder Woman was so worth it. Today I spent a little time messing around with potential tattoo ideas for an OC I am working on. The stone rose kinda looks like something that should be on Steven Universe. My favorite is the purple one, so I tried it on the unnamed OC.

Introducing one of my clone OCs, Tangles. I wanted to practice drawing people that are not twigs (not super successful) and work on different textures like armor (kinda worked). This is Tangles armor right after his first battle when he is no longer a shiny but still pretty bright. He is part of the Coruscant Guard and is called Tangles because as a cadet he hated putting his hair up in buns or ponytails so it was always a crazy mess that his batch brothers would help him comb out. Kinda feeling like I am in an art flunk, not really all that happy with how things turn out. Hoping that just means I am improving instead of just being stagnate, 50-50 chance either way.

So for the past couple of days I have been listening to Medi by Joey Shoji, link here, and its been giving me all of the Kix in TFA feels. Everyone needs to go listen to it. It is a space ballad about a medic who lost his crew and is left alone. (yeah I said space ballads, they rock, no judging)

Happy Clone appreciation day!!! I wanted to celebrate the day with a drawing of one of my favorite AUs, Jedi Tup. I love the whole idea of force sensitive clones. Also I believe that any clone that became a Jedi would at least keep parts of their armor sinces its such an important part of them being individuals and having thier own paint jobs. Something not as easily done with traditional Jedi robes. (Though now I am thinking of Jedi Clones with badass embroidery on their clones…)

Funny story. So I was watching a British house hunting show with my parental units and they were talking about all the bobbin lace in the area. I have always loved and been good at fiber arts thus I decided to try and teach myself an extremely old and obscure art form. This was my first attempt at bobbin lace, sometimes called pillow lace. Went pretty well for using a single book and google I think.

Playing around with more Twi’lek ladies. I love drawing Twi’lek, they are so pretty.
