( About how to talk to the gods ) :🏛️
At first it may seem scary, complicated, or just hard to speak with the divine, but the truth is we tend to get in our heads about it. First I would like to mention communing with the gods can be as simple as sitting down and speaking with them, nothing fancy, nothing to worry about. I find it easier to remember nature is gods and nature is around humans / humans are nature.
What I mean by this is underneath the gods domains is all around us; Gaia is our Mother Earth, Helios the sun, Selene the moon, the winds the Anemoi, and so much more. We (humans) are apart of nature, we are nature. So just sitting down, looking outside of just relaxing and talking to them is still talking to the gods.
Previously I have spoken a lot about prayer, how it benefits, how to do it, etc. So, I’d like to briefly touch on it, religiously speaking prayer is to speak to a god or request something. When praying we call upon the domain, the epithet, and list descriptions of said being, it is to build a kharis and to make it clear who / what you are speaking to.
When praying in request you would leave an offering out, maybe some honey, wheat, or even libations (water) to them while speaking the request. Personally I find it best to say what the offerings are especially if they are action related for an example “I write an educated post for the gods in return I want xyz” its really simple and not strict as people like to make it out to be.
Secondly you can speak to the gods via altar and creating one for them
While the temple is the abode of the god and a
space for the exhibition of offerings, the altar serves as
the essential link between humanity and the divine – the
locus par excellence of sacrifice

The altar is the connection between you and the god or gods you worship, it is what personifies their energy in the physical world. In ancient Greece people also looked at things in their day to day life as signs from the gods and future events.
Such signs could be birds in the sky or a spoken word between friends said at a particular moment or even a simple sneeze which might be interpreted as an auspicious or inauspicious omen.
