The Story of Peter & Caspian
The Crown Prince Peter gets more than he bargained for when, after inviting his secret friend Caspian (with whom he is in love), he realises that Caspian is being badly mistreated by those around him. Peter ends up getting caught up in Miraz’s search for power as he falls more and more deeply in love with Caspian, desperate to protect him.
The Story of Peter & Caspian
Prince Peter of Narnia is the heir to the throne. Although dedicated to his people, he's been known to have a hedonistic streak now and then—but nothing his parents, the King and Queen, can't handle.
What Peter doesn't tell anybody, not even his three beloved siblings, is that for the past three years, he's been meeting up with Caspian, the nephew of Lord Miraz, who longs to steal the Narnian throne.
He knows his feelings for Caspian have now grown beyond that of simply being friends, and one day, when Peter accidentally finds himself waking with Caspian in the Telmarine Castle after a drunken night, he has to get himself out of trouble by inviting Miraz, and his whole family, to visit Cair Paravel.
Peter, fifteen and fresh out of a bloody and brutal war, sneaking out of Cair Paravel in the middle of the night and going to the river, sticking his head into ice-cold water to shock himself out of a nightmare riddled sleep. Narnia won, but at what cost?
Peter, lying in Susan's bed with his fingers curled tightly into the fabric of her skirts, dried tear tracks on his face and Susan singing quietly in an effort to comfort him. Her fingers pick apart the strands of his hair and he falls asleep only to wake up an hour later with screams on his lips.
Peter, wrapping his arms around an Edmund who has returned from war and murmuring frantic thanks to the Gods for keeping him alive. He presses kisses on Edmund's forehead, cheeks, nose and eyelids, and considers the idea of never letting any of his siblings out of his sight ever again.
Peter, sitting on the High King's throne at the age of thirteen and wondering if he is worthy of this, if he deserves this, if he is capable of this. He is thirteen and barely knows anything about anything and he is High King who should know everything about everything is he worthy is he deserving is he capable he does not know—
Peter, in Lucy's room sitting on the floor with his back pressed to her bed, allowing her to braid flowers into his hair as he stares at the wall. The Victory Parade is in a few hours, but they lost many soldiers and people and Peter has lost sleep and sanity and good friends. Narnia has won but Peter has lost.
Peter, carrying a candle to the Castle Library at two in the morning and pulling out a book about children's fables. He cannot sleep, might as well distract himself. The candle dies down and the sun comes up, and Peter drags himself back to his quarters to get ready.
Peter, who locks himself in his chambers and does not come out for days and days, who refuses food and drink and buries himself under his blankets and stares out the window with blank eyes and slack eyebrows, who does not speak and does not cry and pushes his face into his pillow and screams for the nightmares to go away please I'll do better I just want to sleep please stop please—
Peter, who wants peace and contentment, but cannot help but go to war. Peter, who is quiet and introspective but needs to be loud and abrasive because he is High King. Peter, who wishes he could put down the sword that he wields as easily as he breathes.
Peter, who desires peace, but becomes a God of War
I don't think William Moseley gets enough credit for his portrayal of Peter in Prince Caspian. He perfectly embodied the concept of a seasoned warrior/adult king stuck in the body of a teenage boy and imo he has always deserved more praise for it. That could not have been an easy feat to pull off, especially considering he was barely into adulthood when they filmed the movie. Yet he came across as a boy who felt far older than he appeared with a wealth of life experience under his belt to back that up. Revisiting the film all these years later, I honestly think he gave the best performance out of the entire cast

A long time ago, as a child, Caspian loved the tales of the Old Narnians. Back then, he believed very much in fairytales, and in happy endings. Yet today, he is only praying for the resolve to kill, and the strength to marry. To avoid civil war, King Caspian X and High King Peter agree to marry. Caspian, however, is sent with a dagger in his hand and a job to do. Unsure whether he will have the strength to go through with it, he travels to Cair Paravel, and steels himself. The Kings and Queens of Old are suspicious for this soon-to-be member of their family, and take measures to protect themselves from his attack. What they forget to do, however, is protect their hearts.

Peter Pevensie
After returning from London, Peter Pevensie was shocked to find that the Telmarines had taken over. After attempting to live in peace with them for months, itching for war, Peter finally receives a letter.
In this fanfic, Peter can be cold and bloodthirsty and he is certainly the most powerful member of his family by far. He adores the rest of his family and would do anything for them.
Susan Pevensie
While happy to be back in Narnia, Susan Pevensie does not want war whatsoever and will do whatever she can to avoid it. She is soft-hearted and quickly charmed by Caspian in her desire to avoid war.
She is very close to the rest of her family, and her top priority is to avoid war and for Narnia to prosper.
Edmund Pevensie
In this AU Edmund is ambitious, jealous, but also a very good support to the rest of his family and to Caspian. He adores Lucy. He is immediately suspicious of Caspian and very difficult to convince otherwise. He is still very haunted by Jadis and it affects a lot of what he does.
Edmund is the one to put in place all security measures against Caspian and it takes a while for the two to bond, but when they do, they become very close.
Lucy Pevensie
Lucy is happy to invite Caspian into the family but she, like Peter, does not think the Telmarines have right to rule after the way Caspian's predecessors have treated the Old Narnians. She welcomes Caspian into the family, happy to have him as long as her people are treated well.
She tends to side with Peter in arguments but is also very close to Susan and Edmund. She has a close connection with Aslan, as always.
King Caspian X
Caspian is desperate for his uncle Miraz's approval and will do anything to impress him and earn his love. He agrees to marry Peter after being convinced by Miraz and moves to Cair Paravel to find he loves it there and the Pevensies treat him very well.
His orders from Miraz cause him to do bad things that leads the Pevensies to fall out with him, pushing Caspian even closer into Miraz's clutches, wanting to be loved by anyone at all. He is gentle and uncertain about his place in Narnia.

It shouldn't be any of our business anymore what happens here," Susan answers. It's difficult for him to say this. He stops walking for a moment, gazing at the floor and says, "It's not about saving Narnia, Susan. It's about saving him. The thought of him alone..." "Peter!" Susan says, moving to stand in front of him, touching his shoulder. "He should've come alone, and we shouldn't be there. You know it to be perfectly true. Once we have found Edmund and Lucy, we should really leave; we cannot be having another battle against the White Witch unless absolutely necessary. This is Caspian’s fight. We must let him fight it."

Caspian frowns, looking at Peter properly. "I don't understand, Peter. Why wouldn't you? It would be so wonderful there, if only I had somebody to share it with. You must have such fine memories of yourself and your siblings." "I do have brilliant memories of my time there, but also bad ones. Memories of war," Peter answers. "I was young when I first found Narnia and I- well, I was a bit frightened, really. It changed me. I don't know if it was for the better or not." Sometimes, he really thinks it wasn't for the better at all. He became angry and tough. He's more willing to be violent than he used to be.

Peter grabs his hand before he goes and pulls Caspian back, kissing him before he can think about it. He doesn't want him to go. He doesn't forget about him; he never did. Caspian's been all he's thought about. Caspian kisses him back for a few seconds, angrily, before suddenly pulling away again, as if he's just remembered what's happening.
Writing Update!!
So We Tried The World, Good God, It Wasn't For Us will remain getting released every Tuesday and Friday, but we've added a one-shot to the series!
We want to keep doing one-shots of Caspian's POV and also the other Pevensies set in this universe, and they shall be released whenever we like! This one-shot is set a few chapters ahead from where we've posted (it aligns with chapter 10), when Narnia is introduced to the story.
What Peter is doing will remain a mystery and as such reading this is not a spoiler and can also be read as a standalone! But if you'd like to wait until the series catches up, it should be next Friday that it does.

Peter answers, laughing a bit to cover up the conflict inside him. Last night feels like a drunken haze. Caspian looking at him like that in the daylight feels so much more real. "Dream on, mate."

"We still have a bit of a walk before we get home once the tube stops."

I think- Lucy’s had this problem as well, she always expects Aslan to get things sorted. You’re the king, you get it sorted.” “I do not... I’m a fraud, Peter. I do not know how to get things sorted,” Caspian murmurs. He barely seems to be recognising Peter’s presence in the room, more like he’s talking to thin air. “I have changed a lot in Narnia, but it is all good luck. It is all just me being nice and trying my best... rebuilding Cair Paravel, making peace with everybody... perhaps I am too soft to be king. I need everybody to like me. Growing up... well. You needn’t know.” Caspian finally turns to look at Peter, his eyes a little wet from unshed tears. “I wish I was like you.”
