Wendy ran up to Wilbur who looks both lost and scared. âSorry to startle you! I-I-Iâ Wendy grabbed her head. And then took a second to catch her breath. âI woke up, you were gone and I justâŠâ She stopped herself and wrapped her arms around the boy. Then slowly and simply pulled herself far but also leaving her face a little close to the boys. âIâm just glad youâre here.â She said as she smiled halfly with the right side of her lips.
He didnât mean to leave her. It was only for a little while. Although now he felt guilty just leaving her there. He shouldâve told her he was going to be gone. But that was the problem with him: he always acted before thinking. âItâs ok.â He said calmly and held her back. âItâs my fault. I shouldâve said I was going.â He told her and gave a side smile. âAnd I promise I wonât disappear again.â He said looking into her eyes and smiled.
Wendy let out a small sigh of relief as he held her and smiled. She loved looking into those dazzling eyes. There was something so peaceful and humble about the boy that always seemed to make her stomach turn. Her favorite part about being with him was when he would look away, because in those couple seconds Wendy was able to see him from a different viewpoint, from a more sensitive and personal viewpoint. Wendy loved those couple of seconds because it helped realization that he was hers. Hers forever.
