You can lead a fool to wisdom; Closed post [Shion]
It was obvious from Shion’s reaction that he was acquainted with the moody teenager which lead him to bite his tongue and awkwardly break contact. “I admit, he’s not the worst member of Strength.” He shrugged lightly upon hearing about the kid’s loneliness. With an attitude like that, it’s no wonder.
“Whether you’re used to being alone or not, you can’t handle life’s burdens without someone else beside you. I learned that the hard way. You can’t expect life to be kind if you aren’t kind to life.” Nezumi is like Gintoki in a way. After failing to protect his friends and comrades during the Amanto war, he shut himself out from the world for awhile. However, the nosy life he had in Edo was the best he could hope for. The white haired male followed the other’s line of sight before placing a hand on his shoulder, “you dig this sort of sort. Don’t you?”
He could tell that Gintoki didn't want to upset him in any way; and frankly, he didn't. Shion knew that Nezumi wouldn't become someone's friend without a fight - and oh, how he knew - and he had a nasty tendency to pick on everything and everyone.
Sometimes, Shion thought that it showed another side of his, one hidden deep beneath the layers of confidence and snark.
"You should give him a chance. I'll talk to him," he added, offering the man a smile. "And I know. Nezumi knows it, too." Shrugging, the young man bent down and picked one of the violet flowers, then turned and offered it to Gin. "Here you go, that's the flower I was talking about."
