An Arrangement Between Professionals || Sebastian & Fifi
âNo?â If her design was to make Sebastian feel âspecialâ, she didnât need to work nearly so hard. He didnât need a prostitute to boost his already sizable ego, but he wouldnât shun the affectionate pets to it either. âMmm⊠so Iâm not âjust anybodyâ?â He chuckled, a low, tired sound, that sounded only about as serious as his joking question.
The sniperâs eyes had been drifting closed for sometime, and while he didnât often share a bed- not with someone who knew who he really was or what he really did- he found himself comfortable enough with her to let his eyes fall shut. She was one of Mrs. Halifaxâs girls, which meant she was one of Moriartyâs. They knew well enough to keep their mouths shut.
âVivienneâŠâ He brushed a hand through her hair and down her body, saying nothing more to her as he fell asleep. Sebastian anticipated she would still be there when he woke, since heâd yet to pay her. He knew that she was smart enough not to clean out his wallet and run. She wouldnât get far with her cache. And plus, if she stayed, heâd treat her to some eggs and perhaps a shared shower before bidding her goodbye.
Fifi would have never pinned Sebastian as the cuddling type, but people, sheâd found, were full of surprises. She smiled at the question, and shrugged slightly. âYou donât need me to answer that, do you?â Of course Sebastian wasnât âjust anybodyâ. He was one of her most important clients and he had to be fully aware of that. So no, there was no boosting of egos there; Fifi was stating the truth, plain and simple.Â
She curled up against his warm body, enjoying the soft caressing, and smiled at the way he said her name again, a soft, gentle purr. Like that, he almost made her forget the rough hands around her throat, like it had been an entirely different man. She closed her eyes as well, although she knew it would take her some time to actually fall asleep since she was on somebody elseâs bed. It was always like that.
Despite that, Fifi enjoyed being allowed to stay. It meant not having to step into the night alone, avoid the slight fear until she found a taxi, and getting more hours of sleep than she would by going to her own home. Since Sebastian had hired her for the entire night, she had no rush whatsoever. Â âGoodnight, Colonel,â she said softly, preparing herself to sleep.
