"...That really wasn't classy of me. Oh god, I'm sorry. Not that I'll ever admit this again, but I need to work on that -- you know, my anger and need to say things without even thinking about it."
Rose Byrne attends the Women In Film 2014 Crystal + Lucy Awards on June 11, 2014 in Los Angeles, California.
" did you want a champagne or a martini ? I cant remember.."
"Dirty martini for me, please. I can never have enough of those."
"But a rotten bitch would get what she deserves, and I think that’s the important thing."
"Ah, that's dark, but I get it. Because I know exactly where you're coming from. Revenge is pretty sweet."
"If she does, then why the hell would she need me? If I find out she has an assistant, I’m throwing them down the stairs."
"That's not a good idea, because then she'll need you even more."
"She wanted me to sort files. I’m here to chill, not do her dirty work.”
"Ah, she's probably just at her wit's end. But surely she'd have an assistant, right? If she doesn't, that's both crazy and admirable that she can handle so much on her own, but mostly crazy. I have no idea what I'd be doing without my assistants, I have like... 3."
Well there's certainly nothing that shopping can't make better!
Glad someone in this building can actually understand what I’m talking about.
Of course! It's my life. It's really rather upsetting how many people are so uneducated when it comes to fashion nowadays.
"Okay, that wasn't actually funny whatsoever, but the man over there who said it is really, really good-looking. Also, it may be the alcohol that's doing this to me.... I usually don't show any signs of joy. In front of company, at least."
Are you? I couldn’t tell.
I tend to make it rather obvious, but whatever you say.
She could be ahead of her time. You know how quickly trends die and make a come back, you could learn something from her.
I don't need to learn anything from anyone. I'm a fashion designer, I think I know a little bit more about fashion.
Maybe she’s a loose canon cop on the edge who doesn’t play by the rules.
Maybe, but that still doesn't make it a good look.
"You do know her!”Â
"Yes. I thought she sounded familiar!" Petra laughed, taking another large sip of her beverage. "So, you're her niece, huh? I'm sure she's not that bad."
"Uh, workaholic? Debbie Downer? Marketing whatever at Obsesse?”
"Oh, I know her! I've met her at a few events for Obsesse before. Redhead, way shorter than you, and a tad crazy, right?"
"Yep, totally." She shifted here eyes from Petra to her drink and took a large gulp of it. "She just doesn’t like any fun. That’s Emma Parker, the fun-sucker."
Petra shrugged, looking down at the bench as she drummed her fingers against the surface. "Emma Parker? I've heard that name before, I swear." She replied, clearly in thought as she turned to look over at the ginger again.
"Ugh, my aunt is like that. Always working and never lets me have any fun. She’d kill me if she knew I was here right now."
"Well, your aunt sounds like a hoot!" She joked, flicking some of her brunette locks out of her eyes, then turning back to Zara. "Surely, you're over 21, aren't you? I don't see how she could be annoyed about you being here, but that's if you are, you know -- legally an adult."
"So they tell me." Her mood changes, a bright smile blooming on her face. "I’m gorgeous, so of course. But you need to get back out there!”
A bright grin spread across Petra's face when she witnessed the redhead's mood change. "You are!" She smiled, before shaking her head and chuckling softly. "I suppose I do, but it really never works out, I'm what you would say 'married to the job'."
