What do you think of the hate Markeve gets? I know they have flaws, but damn, I see people hating on them so excessively it's ridiculous.

One of my favorite topics so far in the show!

I have talked about this in detail before in this post and this post, but I will make a condensed list of my OPINIONS regarding the subject:

The hate is excessive and borders on a weird obsession with Eve specifically, either not being strong enough for Mark or her just not having as much chemistry with him as Amber did

People dislike MarkEve mostly bc they're chill and don't have drama between them, so they get called boring

The show is STILL FUCKING ONGOING GUYS!!!!! WHY ARE WE TALKING ABOUT THESE TEENAGERS AS IF A DYNAMIC THEY'VE HAD FOR MAYBE 1 SEASON IS GOING TO LAST FOR THE ENTIRE SERIES!!! Even if I wasn't a comic reader this would piss me off greatly grumble grumble grumble

"They only talk and crack" you mfs took 2 scenes maybe and made it the crux of an entire relationship that has subtext and implicit dynamics,,,, now an entire fandom is convinced they only fuck and yap bc nobody cares enough to do a rewatch while critically thinking about anything

Mark does not need to date a puny lil human to learn empathy for them, Eve is still a human being despite her having powers.

I have genuinely never seen a fandom THIS angry and hateful over the MC being in a newly blossoming and loving relationship.....

The Invincible fandom is definitely not a fun or healthy fandom, and I have several reasons to say this, the disgusting jokes people make about the abuse Mark suffered from Anissa, the blatant racism Amber suffered and still suffers, the strange hatred people throw at Mark and Eve to the point of hating anything they do as if they were the worst couple in the world, the hate people throw at Mark for not understanding — or pretending not to understand — that he is a traumatized boy who has been through so much, and that this is one of the reasons he makes questionable decisions. Of course, there are also amazing people in the fandom, but unfortunately the fandom is slowly being taken over by more bitter and insensitive people.

The reason people hold others accountable is because we care about them and want to see them grow. Stop attacking others for not blindly following everything a person does. People can be critical of an action but still care about the person.
