Carlos: Oh you just get close enough to spray them down! Junpei: *blushing furiously* !!! That sounds really messy. Carlos: *nodding sagely* Yes everything gets really wet. But it gets the job done. Junpei: I…I guess that’s the most important thing. Carlos: Yup! And once the fire’s out you just move on to the next one. Junpei: Wow, that’s a bit harsh don’t you think? Carlos: Harsh? You want me to stand there all day with my fire hose spraying water on a house in case the fire starts back up again? Junpei: *dawning realization coupled with relief* Oh! Ahahahaha! Of course not. Yeah being a firefighter with a fire hose sounds like a tough job.

I adore the freezer scene for so so many reasons. But one of them is imagining these angry orphans planning it all out, or rather, Akane explaining to Aoi what happened and Aoi trying to think of how to make it happen, and then– hold up, WHAT.

NUH-UH. NO WAY. I DON’T CARE IF YOU’RE MILLIONS OF YEARS OLD YOU’RE MY BABY SISTER AND NO ELEMENTARY SCHOOL PERV IS GONNA CUDDLE YOU IN A FREEZER. I DON’T GIVE A FUCK HOW COLD IT IS

They both study up on carbon dioxide and freezing properties trying to beat each other into being the one with Junpei in the freezer; Aoi ALMOST managed to lock the freezer without Akane going in but she just managed to sneak in at the last minute; then they bitterly try to one-up each other in CO2 facts (because they can’t very well squabble while others are watching) while Junpei sits there like “why are we talking about this, omg I’m so cold”

(also I know this is basic but does anyone else find it adorable that they both wear scarves and arm warmers. because. how cute is that)

Seeing Link and Cloud cross blades in Tetsuya Nomura’s image is thrilling, and Yusuke Kozaki’s artwork for Fire Emblem Fates’ Corrins is, as always, exquisite, but I had to give Eiji Funahashi’s piece top billing here.

Animal Crossing’s Villager being on the “dark” side of this face-off is just too good, and her placement and line of vision are too amusing to be accidental.
