Where can I buy English ver of Phantomhive and ghost

Our patch is avaliable for free, forever, and can be downloaded here! If you're talking about buying an English version of the DS cart however, I'm afraid there isn't one. If you'd like to play the translation on your NDS, you will instead need a copy of the original (Japanese) game, and a flashcart to load the patched (English) game on. Please see the FAQ for more ^^

Today marks six months since the English patch for Phantom & Ghost was released!

Thank you for all your feedback, kind comments and 1700+ downloads!

Sadly it seems that both the French and Brazilian Portuguese translation projects have been dropped, so this is likely to be the last post you'll see from us here, but there are many other exciting things happening in the anime game fan translation world to explore.

Here are some of the highlights... Otogetranslations recently released a full English patch for the Limited V Edition of Diabolik Lovers! 

Ran has been continuing to work on various translations, with Ciel's route from the Black Butler x Yume 100 collab on queue! 

It’s shaping up to look like an English patch for the Gurren Lagann NDS game will be Phantom’s next release!

Envyplays has been hard at work producing translated video playthroughs of games, with the latest being Kinnikuman Nisei (Muscleman Second Generation): Choujin Seisenshi for the Wonderswan Color, and Fullmetal Alchemist: Prince of the Dawn on Wii! 

Ripper has started up a project to translate Gunnm: Martian Memory for the PSX!

what file should i select for the 'source' thing? can you give me a link or something?

As explained in the FAQ, the ‘source’ is a copy of the game, which is an ‘.nds’ file type. You can obtain one by making a backup (also known as a ROM dump), using the game’s original DS cartridge, and your DS. If you’re having trouble with this process, you can also find copies of this file available online. However, the copyright holders are rather clear that they’re against ROM distribution in this way, and we as a team do not condone any form of piracy, hence why we don’t share any links to download it.Thanks for your understanding!

Hi guys! Can you explain me how can i play the game with my r4 for my 3ds? cause the file is not a .nds one :(

That’s because the download is a patch file, meaning you’ll need to apply it to your own copy of the ‘.nds’ game. (We won’t be providing any download links for that!)

May I just say I am both amazed and disappointed. Amazed that So many love black butler and came to do a translation for western fans. But disappointed that the actual creatures never did an official western release themselves, you think they would know how popular their series is outside of japan too. Keep up the incredible work. I can't wait to play it thanks to you wonderful people

There can be several reasons behind why some games just aren’t released outside of Japan. I think it’d be quite fair to assume that most DS-era games aren’t going to suddenly get licensed now, but there are always new fan-translation projects popping up!

I can’t speak for their current progress, but I do know that there are groups hoping to translate Phantom & Ghost into Brazilian Portuguese and French too!

We’ve taken both fan translations, and the official Yen Press and FUNimation translations into account for this patch, and hope you’ll find it to be of equally high quality. Thank you for your support!

DMC5 and P&G in the same month? Guess I won't be leaving the house! You guys are incredible!! It's so wonderful to see the fandom come together like this! Thank you all for your hard work and may the file reviews go quickly and easily!

Thank you for your kind words!Play testing is going very well! At the moment, there are some minor delays whilst we investigate a timing issue. We’d like to sort this out before making a release, so that the patch is (hopefully) a full and final version!If, in case we’re not able to solve the issue in time, we will be releasing the (still fully playable) patch on March 19 2019, which was chosen as it’ll be the 10 year anniversary of the game! Although, we do hope that we might be able to get it out a bit sooner. ^^

I’m delighted to announce that we’re ready to start game testing! If you had previously messaged us about being involved, keep an eye on your inbox for an invitation link. If it doesn’t arrive within the next day or so, give me a shout!

We’re still open for new volunteers to get involved. If you’re interested, please get in touch before January the 8th! After that date, we will no longer be accepting volunteers for any roles, as we will be working our way towards the patch release!

Hiya!Ah, to clarify from my last message- the patch should be put together by the end of the year. We’ll then send that out to game testers, fix any raised issues, and make a public release! So I’d give that a final estimate of about March 2019 :D

The majority of the work we have left is proofreading, which we’re already 90% of the way through! However, we’re still happy to welcome volunteers for that in the hope of clearing through these files a bit faster. Anyone interested, please drop us an ask, IM or email [email protected], no knowledge of Japanese necessary!

i really hope the rom will be available as soon as you finished the translation, i'm a mess with technology but i really wish i could help :( anyway, thanks for job guys u're the best!!!!!♥

Thanks for your support!Once translation and proofreading are done, we’re going to have a short gametesting phase to make sure that the patch runs correctly before we release it. If you want to try the game as soon as possible, you might like to consider joining us for that! Hello ( ^ω^ ) Is this project almost finished?

Hiya, thanks for getting in touch!

We’ve translated 93% of the game (bonus content included), so we are well on our way there! In order to make sure the patch is devilishly good, there’s still a bit more that needs doing behind the scenes, in terms of proofreading and then starting game testing, so releasing anything in the next month or so looks pretty unlikely I’m afraid. However, we’re confident that it’ll be worth the extra wait so we can deliver a translation worthy of the Phantomhive name! (｀∇´ゞ

Hello~ I think this is a really amazing project you're doing, and I hope it's going well~ I was wondering what platform this will be released on? Will it be for the DS as the original was or an online translation in conjunction with the Japanese game? Thank you for your help and good luck ^-^

Thanks for your support! There’s a more detailed answer on our F.A.Q page, but in short: Our translation is going to come as a patch- something that can only be viewed if you’ve got a copy of the game (ROM). Once applied, you’ll be able to play it on your device via an emulator (e.g. DeSmuME), or on your DS/3DS just like the original game, but in English! :D
