albeit no small venture, when graced by such fair spring weather and tranquil scenery such as this, the trek up the eastern mountains was an agreeable one. even if the swordswoman was sent on 'official business' ( whatever yuyuko could have possibly meant by that. ) ββ but, well, since she had made the journey here, and the target of her query was yet to be found - youmu felt it was only proper of her to pass the time by engaging with traditional shrine customs.
perhaps it was a blessing in itself that the shrine grounds were empty, as to any onlookers the display youmu was putting on would be a disgrace to any god β as she tries to recite the motions from memory, albeit stiff and rigid, evidently out of practice β and even more so ; out of order. her pitiful display of prayer - giving ends with an unspoken wish & humble offering, as she drops a coin into the empty box with a light clink !
. . . huh. i suppose now all she has to do is wait β or will she receive a refund from the gods for doing it the wrong way around . . . ?

γwell, i don't think my cooking tastes bad? and lady yuyuko always finishes her meals β so a lot of my cooking is mixed rice dishes made up with whatever ingredients we have leftover. . .γ
so not exactly an adventurous chef, per say; with most her meals serving as the textbook standard one would expect when following a recipe. perhaps if they hosted more guests that weren't dead, she might explore dishes with more of an emphasis on the flavour, rather than trying to fill one ghosts stomach. ( key word being : trying. )
γalthough, i would have thought the mistress of the scarlet devil mansion has more refined tastes when it comes to food that lady yuyuko β if i was to study your cooking, i'd certainly learn a lot!γ
the forest - dwelling yokai have been growing more rowdy as of late β she sure hopes there are no fair maidens out there in need of protecting. . . if only a strong and noble swordswoman was nearby.

γit's kind of embarrassing to admit β but. . . sometimes when i'm out shopping in the human village i'll take part in the local stamp rallies, and now i have a growing collection of complete stamp books. i thought the little pictures looked cute. . .γ
