I need advice

I am looking to make new friends as i reduced the amount of communication between me and my current ones as i need to focus on school a lot more and tend to get distracted or feel pressured to join then when they play CS:GO (i don't play it). Now there is this one girl in my contacts on whatsapp who i don't really know but seems nice. Should i start talking to her or not.

 note: she once randomly took a picture of me, and told me that i look better with a smile
