BBC’s adaption of Leo Tolstoy’s War and Peace premiers stateside January 18 on Lifetime. The miniseries stars Lily James, James Norton, Gillian Anderson, Paul Dano and Stephen Rea.

Chris Pratt’s evolution from sidekick to superhero leading man is giving him his moment.  

"Typically, I was getting typecast as the bad boyfriend. The boyfriend of the girl who you hope ends up with the guy you like. That was my bread and butter for a long time," he says. "Looking back, I think I know why. Physically, I looked like an asshole."

He doesn’t look like an asshole now.

Yeah!  Eddie Redmayne wins the Best Actor Oscar for his portrayal of Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything.  

Julianne Moore wins the Best Actress Oscar for Still Alice.

John Legend and Common win the Oscar for Best Song for their song "Glory" from the film, Selma.  They gave a moving performance of the song that brought the audience to tears.  In their acceptance speech, they touched upon the fact that the social injustices that Dr. Martin Luther King fought against is still happening today.

Patricia Arquette wins Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Boyhood.  During her speech, she gets huge reaction from the audience when she demands equal wages for women in this country.
