today is one of those highly specific days

where if you have anxiety, depression, OCD, et cetera, it’s going to be worse if you saw the news. do not feel bad about taking a break from the news cycle for a day or more if what you are seeing/remembering/etc. bothers you

if something already upset you, you can do this to feel better:

watch a lighthearted TV show or YouTube channel (Spongebob, Barry Lewis, Game Grumps, and Stop Skeletons From Fighting are all good choices!)

listen to some upbeat music (The Spice Girls, Britney Spears, N*Sync and the Backstreet Boys are good options!)

go take a walk, call/text/video chat a friend (you are not a bother!), drink lots of water, have a treat (eat a cookie for me!)

draw cute pictures! doodle! write fun fanfic! crochet! do whatever you do that uplifts you

please make sure to remember to take the proper/prescribed dose of any medicine you’re on, especially if you’re having bad anxiety and need a medicine to help you calm back down.
