By inviting younger idol groups to their TV show they have found a really clever way to make themselves more appealing to a younger generation of fans...
It’s no difference from promoting on home shopping channel which is way more popular than music shows...
Or marketing Super TV 1 as a mixture of all the shows put together...
I mean, of course they ARE super clever. Just the fact that they’ve maintained a strong fanbase over the past decade who are dying to fill their super high profit concert tours that run almost every year, despite the fact that their music in generally is not that highly regarded, is enough to prove that they know how to work this showbiz business.

They are like, old clever foxes in the Korean idol business, and showbiz in general...
but in a very good way, cause they make me f’cking proud!
Yes, they are the most recent guests on Super TV 2 (Ep6).
And in case you haven’t fallen for them yet, they are an awesome rookie girl group with very similar Suju vibe that you may very well fall in love.
So here are some reasons why you should definitely check them out:
(Trust me I never imagined I would rant like this about any other group apart from Suju but the fact that one of the members in (G)I-DLE is an ELF qualifies the group to be something Suju-related. Anything Suju-related deserves a rant. Nuff said!)
As you might have known, one of their members, Yuqi, is an ELF!! Trust me, with the eyes of an ELF who has picked the right legendary group to stand for so many years, from off-stage interactions and videos she seems like the most genuine, kind and bubbly member out of them all. Ever since I first watched her, I have sensed a very familiar happy vibe from her, similar to how I usually feel watching Suju, and then BAM it came as a nice surprise but also not a surprise at all that she’s an ELF!!
Also, Miyeon, another super pretty member, is getting a lot of attention for having trained with Blackpink in YG for five years (if you don’t know Blackpink then I assume you are not into Kpop lol). She was the reason I decided to check (G)I-DLE out because I was quite deep into Blackpink for the past few months. The last part of the previous sentence would have been written in present tense had I never checked (G)I-DLE out. Nuff said!
I mean... I was mind-blown!! As someone who had only been truly touched once by only ONE group since eight years ago, I thought I would never feel something so special with any other group apart from Super Junior. But this group, (G)I-DLE, a name I was reluctant to check out at first because of all the comparisons with my then biased new girl group - Blackpink (I would never call myself a Blackpink stan, I was just checking out all their pretty stuff and expensive stage clothes and English conversations), has really popped out of know where and changed everything. Of course, I would never love them the way I love Suju, but for years and years I have been searching around Kpop for another group that gives me the same vibe to Suju and I hadn’t been at all successful up until discovering (G)I-DLE.
Their stage presence, the charisma, the genuine feel and everything else just click so well. A really charismatic and talented girl-group with real swag, coolness and genuine personality just by their stage presence. It came as no surprise that in their off-stage videos they just appeared so down-to-earth and at ease with themselves. I am so certain I’ve fallen for the right group that I won’t bother checking MR-removed or plastic surgery videos of the group (which is something I often to do others, especially the pretty ones) because I don’t care at all!! Their skills are too good to be questioned, and whether they look like this or not I would still be in love, for sure (I wouldn’t be able to say the same with other pretty groups that I like). This is how much this group has got into me. They are the only other group that gives me the ‘real’ feel like Super Junior, and before I knew it I was repeating their songs, yes the whole album, nonstop on Spotify.
In case you haven’t known, this group happens to produce their own music. Yes produce, you heard me right, as in one member wrote their title song LATATA. Her name is Soyeon, she is probably the best female rapper in K-pop right now, and even her look sells it well. For me, she looks and sounds exactly like CL. This comparison is solely for the purpose of saying how amazing this girl is. This makes their album, even to someone who has never been that interested in Kpop music in general including Suju’s discography, is honestly really good. I can listen to it all day without feeling bored, and this surprises me so much because I hardly ever likes a full album, let alone listening to it on repeat. Yes you can tell I was sold, completely sold.
But that’s not everything. They have a maknae that resembles Kyuhyun so so so much. Shy looking at first, but is actually charming and charismatic with a lot of potential, and EVIL!!!!! Her name is Shuhua and I used to think she was a bit of a waste at the very beginning (SORRY!) but now I know she’s the gem in the group.
They also have a crazily charismatic dancer, Soojin, whose stage presence is super! She always puts crazy efforts in her performances, and after watching the MV you can possibly that she can just kill by looking!!
Minnie, their Thai member, is in my opinion the best looking Thai idol in Kpop so far. By best looking I mean she is pretty, of course, but doesn’t seem as lifeless as other Thai idols I’ve seen. She has a really charismatic presence that made me single her out straight away the first time I saw her in their MV.
Believe it or not, I have only just very recently got to know about them, and I am still exploring and continuing to be awed at what this group offers, without any need to declare myself a stan or anything, because I am not. I just love them and feel deep respect and admiration for these girls, from the perspective of someone who has lurked around this Kpop world for a long time. I swear that all of these fangirling couldn’t have come to me in a less natural way. Their song got stuck in my head while I was doing something else, and I just unconsciously checked their stuff out on youtube, that’s all how it started...
I think I’m in love. And I am pretty sure this has something to do with Suju.
Guys, as Suju’s fans, please give a lot of love to (G)I-DLE too.
