Greetings good people, it has been a while, but we are back, and we came back with gifts.

Ms. B’Havin just dropped her new single titled “BBE”(Bad Bitch Energy), and she encompasses the title in the music. I would love to see this added to a film soundtrack, I can just see that.

So, Kid Cut is really that dude. No. Really. I just listened to his new album, “Dear God… Thank You” and I replayed it like 3 or 4 times. The first track that really pulled me in was “Facts”, and it set the stage with lines like “I don’t need to pop a pill if I need to relax”, that was major to me. When I say major, he didn’t say popping pills was wack he just let it be known that there are alternatives to pills, which is something we don’t hear enough of these days. GROWTH. “I heard you not cool with me, please stay where you at”. This song is one of my favorites and Kid Cut is a natural on the tracks, with a dark gritty soundtrack this one really knocks. “How That Shit Go” is a track for the ladies, “this track is a laid back tune for when your girl is tripping and you need to take a step back, however, he does not step back from being lyrical, with lyrics like, “And I don’t want to argue girl and turn you into a foe because before we went head to head we went toe to toe”.

The next track that really hit home for me was “Dior (Mines is Yours)”, just something to let the woman in your life know that you are in it with them, basically, if I have a dollar you do too. This one is also a shout out to the woman that holds you down, which is a clean segue into the track “Hold it Down” which is a nice display of his versatility and flow, “I like my money blue, and my women brown, I like my wrist gold, like I like my crown.” I love the theme of this album or at least my interpretation of it.

The next track that really engaged me was “Children”as he gets political and digs deeper to deliver a track that hits hard because it speaks to the curre It state of the world. K cut taste timeout to say, Hey I would rather you guys kill me then the kill the kids and you are killing. Ye speaks on hypermasculinity in the sense that most men these days would pick up a pistol and not their fists. Not a lot of artists are willing to put their feelings out there or to even speak on what is truly happening in the world and Kid Cut does that. Respect.

Overall the project knocks and I have to give credit where credit is due.

This was an amazing project and I just can’t wait to see what he comes up with next because the depths that he’s going, the content and material that he’s using in his music has definitely evolved so please stay tuned to this guy Kid Cut!

The intro was mysterious and alluring and it made me interested in continuing to listen to the song. The lyrics were kind of sad and dark, but I liked the song. I could relate to the words in this one. The singer’s voice sounds raspy and I like the uniqueness of his voice. I also like the arrangement of the song because the beat didn’t clash with the vocals. Great song! I would definitely add this one to my playlist.

This dude has a terrific voice that sounds like a country singer’s voice. His brand of country mixed in with pop, electro, synth and even a touch of hip-hop. This was produced amazingly well and professionally. He expresses himself quite well and it is a love song. A unique song. This artist is a one of a kind artist that goes above and beyond what he does. He should be proud of that. He should be the next big thing when it comes to pop music. He will be quite an impressive artist. *********************************************************************** I Believe In You By George Thomas The sound of this song has such an eloquent singer, his voice is candid and reflective, he has a nice settling voice that is attractive and in depth. This song is magical. And that Johnny Cash flat note he catches us with is just amazing. A HIT for sure

Laid Thomas is back with his latest offering, “Sumerian Language”. The intro to the project, “IDK”, is dope. “IDK” is smooth and laid back showcasing Laid’s real life as a family man, that is truly there for his children. The sample is a nice touch, and reminds me of a time when rap was real and authentic. The next track, that took me by surprise is “New Energy” mainly because of the Mr. Rogers’ sample. The song speaks volumes and cements Laid’s emerging emcee skills. Laid keeps the music real, and his lyrics are motivational for those that are seeking new energy, he made me feel this line, “don’t mimic me, or copy my symmetry” FACCTTTTTTS! Laid thinks differently than these other artists, and he has been consistently dropping heat. The next track that stood out to me was “Ball”, this track is the type of track that will make a loser want to shoot himself. Laid turned his swag up on this track, and they can’t do nothing with him. This is one of those pimp type tracks, to let you know that he can and will take your b**** if he wanted to. The line that was the most notable to me is “she gon give me everything even if I don’t fuck her right”, that’s that pimp shit.

“Slide”, is one of the most gangster tracks I HAVE EVER HEARD, and Laid is a G, “You don’t gotta slide for me, I’m gonna do this by myself my G”, which tells a story of steel and violence. Laid tells you that he inherited this gun play because that is all he has seen and grew up with. This is a deep track, and Laid is a great story teller. The track that really is my favorite from the whole album is “Abuser” which starts off strong, “said that nigga did what? He hit you?, get the STRAP!” “Her ex nigga abused her, straight loser” “She told me about some niggas that abused her, I told her I’m her new fuckin’ shooter”. Somebody is going to feel that, either the dudes that will put hands on the abusers, or the women that have been abused, or kids of people that were abused or grew up in abusive homes. Laid did a great job of tapping into an audience that have never been acknowledged in this way before. Women deserve to feel that they have somebody that will protect them. Great job Laid.

Overall this album really made my day, Laid is consistently getting better with every project that he drops, from content to beat selection, Laid is talented and makes great decisions when he compiles his albums. My dude is one of the most solid emcees that I have ever had the privilege of listening to and reviewing music for.

I really enjoyed this fun and energetic music video from Popmfs for his song, “Jump Out”. He is one of the few artists that I would honestly pay my hard earned money to see perform. He is an artist to follow and one of the few artists to watch coming out of Columbus, Georgia. I think he is a relatable artist that makes music for others and not just himself. Gallo and JFlo have really woke me up out of my slumber with this one.  I think that most people that listen to this album will feel where these 2 creatives are coming from and where they are going with this piece of work.  The opening track “Sacrifice” blew me away from the smooth vocal to the hard-hitting instrumental and bars from Gallo.  The track, “One of a Kind”, makes me want to do music again because for one it makes me want to write for my girl and showed me that according to this track, I need to step it up in the romance area.  This track speaks to the lover in all of us and is an appreciation track for the ladies, definitely a winner.  The instrumental arrangement is super smooth and well orchestrated and laid back.  “Rock Ya Body” is definitely a track made for the club, even though it is a little commercial it is a more current track, with lines like “all week long and you been consistent, work and work and work and work, now twerk and twerk and twerk and twerk” and again the mix is clean and the instrumental is poppy, but urban.  “Give it Up” is another party song but I swear the songs sound radio ready and just when I think the song is about to turn down, Gallo kicks the door in and gives the track a much-needed edge, not because it lacked anything, but it gave it a boost.  ” I Be On My Grind” is the track that you play when you are getting ready for work, getting ready to hit the court, or hit a lick.  What a way to end an album, on an absolute high note.

  I loved the way these two seemed like they were playing off of each other’s energy on each track and nobody tried to outshine the other, it was a team effort.  The one thing that I hated was that I wanted to hear more from these two and see what else they could cook up together because of the strength that these two both brought to the project.

In The Moment (Music Video)

  Amore King is back, and he comes with a sharpened flow and a confidence that many artists would die for on his new project, Valentine’s Day Jordan. The album opens up with the track “Questions” over a beat that samples the Frank Ocean rendition of “At Your Best”. This track is smooth and made for lovers with Amore dropping questions, that ask how true his lover really is. The title track, “Valentine’s Day Jordan” is definitely single material, from the romantic narrative to the smooth rnb lover vibe the entire song is giving off. Some might see it as being soft, but this song is my favorite off the album because Amore makes sure to carefully place his words to flow in a rhythmic cadence that flows well. “I Ain’t Hearing That”, is just an opportunity for Amore to leave his swagger all over the beat, he challenges the norm on this song and he brings up the fact that many local rappers are also trappers in their own mind, and he uses this track to bring some braggadacio. If you don’t know who he is, you do now. The song, “In the Moment”, is another single with high energy, a memorable call and response for the crowd to follow, “we living life in the moment, we don’t give a fuck”. Amore has managed to create an anthem here, dedicated to the good life, this is actually my second favorite song from this album. Overall, the album sparks fire with stellar beat selection, and smooth bars that are far from mumble rap. He gives you the genuine talent that rap was built on. Amore King is one to watch.

A word from the artist: The album has been getting rave reviews. I wanted to create something that blended my lyricism with 90’s r&b vibes. Usually I’d write and then outsource the R&B portions of my songs I decided to keep them for myself and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. The lead single was “In The Moment” with a very fly video accompanying it. The current single is “Made In Heaven”  (masochism in the bedroom put to song) which has been KILLING it and has over 5k plays on spotify alone. Video coming soon.
