Hey, so I can’t get this out of my head for some reasons so I wanted to share with you and know your opinion, somebody asked on quora the same question as always “is bts straight or gay?”, and while I stumbled across some replies that were expectably just joking around, or people sectioning out those who could be LGBT and not, I found this quite...interesting answer. I know it’s from Quora, so it could be anyone making up shit, but for some reason I find it to be a pretty semi-realistic scenario? No matter if the source is attendable or not, I don’t know it just made sense to me, even if since I ship kookmin it’s not really the “story” I would wish for, but let’s leave fantasy to fiction. And it’s also interesting how this person went straight to jikook even if the original question didn’t even mention ships. I feel so sad for Jimin, but I also believe he can get out of the friendzone once jk realizes they are made for each other ... in case he hasn’t already ... in case he isn’t straight... yeah in case in case. Call me crazy or whatever, but I would rather “believe” this instead of “jikook married couple since 2015” which is lovely lmao but def not reality. Maybe I’m just a masochist who knows. Btw would’ve worded this whole Ask better but I have a test tomorrow and it’s 2 am 😀 sorry for this mess lol
Hi @zustara thanks for the ask. I'm not going to delve into anyone's sexualities, but I am going to give you an honest opinion on something.
There is one line in this response that particularly tells me it's pure bullshit. "Jimin and Jungkook became close friends in 2020."
Anyone whose head is not in the sand knows they have been super close for years. Like, sleep in each other's arms, travel back home together, saying I love you in a serious way close. So, this quora response doesn't track with the bare minimum facts of BTS. JK wrote an incredibly heartfelt message to Jimin on his bday in 2019. He said "You know my heart" and "I love you." Most people, and especially introverted folk like JK who are choosy about even saying a single word, wouldn't say that to someone if they weren't super close to them. This is just not a believable narrative. They could be dating girls or boys privately or each other, but this narrative is not it.
I understand your instinct to look for a less than perfect narrative for them. Life is messy. Whether they are friends or lovers, they will have fought and made up, annoyed and pissed off one another, and had ups and downs. That is life. It is the rarity that two people could meet at 18ish and fall deeply in love and have few problems. They could be the exception, or they could be like the rest of us, lol.
Love of any kind is hard work and it takes two to tango. Any narrative that paints Jimin as lovelorn and JK as indifferent has probably been posted to make both look bad, but especially JM. Whoever posted this wanted to look credible so that people will see JM this way. Be very wary of this type of setup. Nasty people know how to look vaguely credible to casual readers/fans so that they can spread their ideas. I don't like Quora or go on it because it is full of utter nonsense and few facts, but maybe you could report (or downvote?) the response for spreading false info.
