Taemin has created transgressive art within the Kpop genre for a long time, but now it's safe to say he has transcended the genre. He's pushed beyond its limits in a way no other artist has. That's incredibly important culturally, and I just hope he keeps going. He's spoken a lot about wanting his art to go beyond the bounds of the genre and for art to be synonymous with his name. Argh it's exciting to watch knowing no one has ever done this before.

I wonder if Jimin watched Taemin EATING UP that Coachella stage and just.. looked to his left… looked to his right… Sigh. I truly believe that Jimin has the capacity to be a strong vocalist but man that group does not want him to outshine them any more than he already does. They’ll never admit it but if they gave even an ounce of the vocal resources they gave to JK to Jimin too, he would be the standout no question. I truly believe that is why they don’t give him vocal lessons or promote his solo work. They know he could be on Taemin’s level as a performer but if he was, the rest of that group would look worse in comparison. It is so sad. They have to clip his wings so they can all fly the same distance. Let Jimin sing and dance and perform! He should be eating up the Coachella stage too!

I'm not a Jimin expert, but my thoughts are this: Hybe, as a business, have shown they can make illogical, self-harming decisions to further their singular interests. If they don't think someone or a group should have XYZ, they'll block it. If I reflect on what I've seen over the past 5-6 years, I can't help but feel it's in Hybe's best interest for the group to come before anything else, and for the group to not have any members who are huge outliers in terms of talent, appeal etc. It's crazy how they did a solo era and every single member got at least one solo release/album. How they'll deal with it in the future, I don't know, but it's going to be harder to keep everyone on an even pedestal forevermore.

I would love to see Jimin breakaway and do his own thing. That's where I'm at. I want to see him dance and perform as he used to, when he and Taemin shared stages. I hope that's in the future, sincerely.

I miss them too! No, I'm not following Jimin's group comeback. Every glimpse I've seen has been quite meh (no amazing dances??) but Jimin looks ethereal with his long hair. I'd very much like to see him with that hair beside current blonde Taemin you know, for science.

I've seen Taemin a few times, including the "hi-bye" where you walk by, but I've never seen Jimin. That means I can't compare their auras/presences.

TM has a very professional, unreal aura. I've never spoken to him so I can't say much beyond that.

Would LOVE to be at the next Hybe reverse marketing meeting where they develop the talking points for Taemin's shoot with Damon Baker. Something along the lines of morally bankrupt, bad influence, unsuitable for respectable audiences etc. Sounds perfect actually.
