Happy New 2019 Year everyone!

Here’s a rough animation I made to celebrate x) First try to render in TVPaint, not the best try though but I’m still learning :D Hope you like it :)

I want to thank this year for becoming the turning point in my life, introducing me to Shidge and Voltron and for all the development of artistic skill I got. It’s just insane because I can’t believe that just a year ago I rarely touched digital art and was afraid of my pen and had no idea what i want from my art at all. My drawings were all very rough with disaturated dark colors. And now I’m completely on the other level, for this year I made my first animatic and started animating at all, bought new software, visited many interesting places and discovered new things. It was tough, very tough, it’s been tragical for my soulmate and we cried a lot, we’ve been through a lot. And I wish I just could leave all the bad things in this passing year, all the tears and sadness and depression and keep only positive emotions, excitement, laugh and happiness. I wish to have even more ideas for drawings in the new year and more time and inspiration to bring them to life. I’m up for these new adventures and challenges and I hope you’ll stay with me <3

Day 7: Party

I love to think that Pidge and Shiro were the ones who slept the less while traveling in Castle of Lions but then they just.. both fall asleep on the one of Christmas parties with team and that was like a sign that the war is finally over and they both finally can relax and get a rest well deserved. All was well. And everyone was alright. 

Be sure also there’s Lotor behind the scenes wearing the ugliest christmas sweater lance could find for him

What were your thoughts on the scene where Kuron is running to the escape pod with an unconscious Lotor and Pidge tries to shoot him but can’t bring herself to, and the scene after were Pidge tells the others she made the anti-virus to Shiro’s arm while looking sad (sorry if you’ve already answered and I missed it)

Omg these scenes made me so emotional ;-; She looked broken because she understood that she just can’t.. even though she always used to follow the logic and at that moment she understood that she needs to shoot, she needs to stop him because it’s the last chance. And she’s almost ready to do it but then he looks at her and she just.. can’t.

I almost saw all their joined moments, all the help and support he gave her for all this time, everything they’ve been through and her trust to him in her eyes for these few seconds. She cannot make herself to believe that he is able to betray them. I love this scene so much and btw have a warm place for it in my animatic.

And yeah in that scene as she said she never thought she’d have to use it. And again this look on her face and pain that she tries to keep inside. She hated herself for what she’s done even though that it eventually saved them. She never even could stand the thought of her using the antivirus even tho the logic she used to follow for her whole life said her that he may be dangerous. 

This reminded me about the scene where Sendak used to torture Shiro to make Pidge stop reprogramming and interrupt her. I mean these scenes when she needs to stand in front of a choice of keep moving forward, follow the logic, actions that she is sure are right and just Shiro, these scenes are tearing my heart on small pieces because gosh.
