Beauty in the Fall
There is a certain beauty in watching something crumble and fall. Not like the slow decay that withers a building after centuries of it standing.
I imagine someone stood on a boat in the ocean, watching as Pompeii melted away. Just as someone sat and admired the waves as they came crashing down on Atlantis. How one Greek soldier stood still for a moment, looking at the flames as they engulfed Troy. When a woman stood on a hill watching the walls of Jericho fell. Or one Native shed a tear as they watched their village get burned.
You see, there is a certain beauty in the eventual fall of something. Today it was not a city that fell, but a community. #RIP TikTok
