Spangled.

Using up some of my semi-precious beads, I made some lace bobbins for my sister, who has started making lace, and is very good at it! Stones include cornelian, peridot, turquoise, agate, crystal and garnet.

Resin bangle. Hollow formed two shapes and soldered together. Then filled with resin, which I coloured with yellow and red dyes, in two stages (took a day for each side to cure). Infilled with tiny beads (bought from lovely shop in Eureka California last year) and finished off with gold leaf. The bangle dropped and the resin cracked on both sides :-0 So I fixed small gold bars above the cracks - lesson learned re fragility of resin in metal.

Snowflakes. I drew the snowflakes in Photoshop, etched onto silver plates, hollow-formed the 'lucky eights' or 'infinity loops', soldered together to form lightweight earrings.

Hollow bangle. Started off as a long flat piece of silver and ended up like this after lots of hammering. Oxidised on the inside.

Pebble - hug setting. (Same pebble as with green bangles below). Maybe it will turn into a ring, or maybe just sit in my pocket.

Triptych. Silver with gold details, emerald and oil painting by Rob. The ivy garland was drawn by Rob and then I did a photo-etch. My favourite piece ever.

Resin bangles with embedded silver balls. (Scorch marks around pebble were already on the workbench!)

New salt and pepper dishes - blue enamel instead of blue glass this time. Hollow-formed, etched silver for the main dishes. The salt crystal and peppercorn drawings were reduced in size and etched on the small bowls before enamelling.

Ee's. Two letters as part of a Seamus Heaney poem about pototoes in a show.

Hollow silver pod etched with chrysanthemum on one side and koi carp on the other, mounted onto etched silver shank, decorated with coral spacers. This is the koi carp side of the pod before completion.

Earrings. Rubies set in silver and gold, with rutillated quartz set over.

Ammonite set in silver, which was milled to give a rock-like finish, and gold, with rutillated quartz set over it. For my mother, the geologist.
