Yeah I’ve done some pretty horrible things to survive, but unlike you, poor, delicated elena…
The “I will do it because you said I couldn’t” club
scfiamikaelscn:
“I’m fine. i’m just being dramatic, it’s what I do.”
“I’d like to think I can blame that on your father, but it’s probably closer to a draw.”
thealphawclf:
“ before you speak, i would think long and hard about my merry mood and the risk of being the person to crush that. i’ve been told i’m a bit dramatic. “
“Pretty sure your precious mood will be crushed no matter what I say. May as well get it over with early.”
guiltrode:
“ we have to do what we can to get through this. together. “
“You can’t possibly be serious.”
sorcerymade:
“Not staring, admiring. I love when you do your hair like that, I could never pull it off — or at least in this body.”
“Ass kissing will get you nowhere with me, Blair. And before you ask, no, I haven’t seen your father.” Though she could certainly use his calming presence right about now.
“Can I help you? Or was staring your entire plan?”
sorcerymade:
Blair doesn’t comment on her mother’s silence, she knew this had to be difficult to process; but she preferred the quiet, it bought her time to plan what she’d say. “Ah,” she says with a nod, rather disappointed by her father’s absence, though she did come unexpectedly. Blair only cared to explain the story once, if everyone heard the same story they wouldn’t be able to catch her in the lies, though if they hadn’t they could start putting pieces together that she preferred to stay untouched. She wasn’t sure what to do next, surely the doppelganger wasn’t in the mood for Blair’s antics, but Blair wasn’t in the mood to talk about the problem, she just wanted to get this over with. If she could she would just sweep everything underneath the rug. And she swears she can feel her heart break at her mother’s question, immediately her expression softens and a small “no,” escapes from her. This is what Blair didn’t want, her parents blaming themselves for her departure, she didn’t want them to feel guilt over something she should bear. “No, it wasn’t your fault. It wasn’t anybody’s fault but mine.” Blair answers rather quickly, having already rehearsed that line.
Again, the silence that followed the short explanation seemed to drift on and on. They might have spent the last few years apart - Katherine mourning the child who now stood before her, while she was alive and off who knows where doing who knows what - but she could still tell when the truth was being kept from her. Maybe it wasn’t an outright lie, but there was certainly something Blair was hiding. The woman took a deep breath, finally shutting the door and moving further into the house, beckoning for Blair to follow as she made for the kitchen. When she spoke, her tone was more even, not letting on to the emotional turmoil right beneath the surface. “I want the full story, and I want the truth. If you’re telling lies to save your own skin, they’ll remain between us.”
sorcerymade:
Blair surveyed her mother in silence as she stood in the doorway, a flush making it’s way onto her features as she did so. She was so nervous about what was to come, surely the doppelganger wasn’t naive enough to fall for one of Blair’s stories and that scared the witch. She wasn’t ready to tell her mother the horrid truth, and she certainly wasn’t ready for the reaction that was to follow. Goosebumps formed on the small of her back as her mother broke the silence, it had been so long since she heard her mother say her name. Blair wasn’t sure what to say, or even how to begin to explain all of this, so of course she’d ignore the obvious issue at hand, “You know I never gave you much credit, I definitely got my good looks from you.” Unable to continue meeting the gaze of the Petrova doppelganger in fear of getting emotional she set her sights on the decoratives of the home, most importantly, the family photos."You know I always hated this picture,” Blair comments, sauntering over to a nearby picture of herself from her youth. “Wheres, dad?”
Katherine felt numb as her daughter moved past her and into the house, commenting on something, though she didn’t hear what it was. The visit hadn’t been expected, given how Blair had deliberately run away from her own family, and the shock of it wasn’t being handled well. It was the mention of Elijah that seemed to bring her back. Swallowing hard, she turned to face the girl, trying to maintain some sense of control over her emotions. At least visually. “Out,” was her simple reply, choosing to keep things short and to the point. After all, she had no idea what to expect in this situation, and she deemed that approach best. For now. However, after only a brief moment of silence, she found curiosity getting the better of her. Something she would blame Kai for later. “Was it my fault?”

A sheepish smile formed as she approached, “Hi mom.”
Katherine stood in the doorway, silently staring at the girl for a moment. The face may not have been familiar, but everything about the way the girl spoke and carried herself rang true to her daughter’s memory. “Blair.”
mxlxchxi:
“Is that aggression I sense?”
“And sarcasm.”
mxlxchxi:
“I didn’t want to make assumptions.”
“Clearly.”
Damon: Maybe it is, maybe it isn't.
Damon: Guess you'll never know.
Katherine: See you tomorrow.
Damon: 👍🏻
Damon: I've always been a gentleman.
Katherine: Sounds fake, but ok.
mxlxchxi:
“I have not. Are you still with the father?”
“I am.”
Damon: Tomorrow? Say 7?
Damon: It wouldn't be very polite if I didn't.
Katherine: Sounds perfect.
Katherine: Such a gentleman. When did that happen?
Damon: you know that doesn't sound like a bad idea.
Katherine: Just name the time & place.
Katherine: I assume your buying?
