finally, after 84 years... my most favourite kpop boy is back!!!!!!!

okay, i doubt anyone cares (or even still follows me) since i am barely active (though I'm still here every day lol) but here are my thoughts and feelings on hui's solo debut:

Hmm Bop: i am so sorry but i did not live.... like, it's fine, it's a good song and i absolutely don't dislike it!!! i just know that if this was released by anyone but hui i would not care for it because it's simply not my style. that being said, hui put his whole hunussy in this and i love that for him.

MELO: now this.... this is what I am living for!!! i low-key (high-key honestly) wish this would've been the title because it just feels a little more on trend and like it might reach a wider audience than Hmm Bop. but that's just how it feels like to me ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ (also for a song supposedly containing a featuring artist, i struggle to find them and i listened to this like three times now. please help me.)

Cold Killer: i do not know who Jinhyuk is and i don't care to... he did nothing for me and i am glad he wasn't that strong of a presence in this song because THIS is what i really hoped to hear on this album. rockstar hui remains my favourite kind of hui, so this was a big win for me personally.

A Song From A Dream: yes!!!! YEEESSSSSS!!!! god, i am so happy that not only do I finally know one of the featuring artists on this album, but it's also our big baby wooseokkie!!!!!! him and hui remain a crazy combo and this song is so, so good!!! the title really is apt because the song does totally have that dreamy vibe and it's really my style

all in all, this solo debut is a win for me. i was really apprehensive when i realised this was going to only have 4 songs (we know hui has a whole lot more on his hard drive) and that 3 of them would be features, but i am glad that none of the featuring artists ended up overshadowing him and overall this album just felt.... very hui. very, very hui. i find it hard to name a favourite, but i would say it's between Cold Killer and A Song From A Dream. those two are Extremely Good to me. MELO is not far behind though. (so sorry to miss Hmm Bop. there's nothing wrong with her, it's just not my song)

#i am not even going to talk about the music video because i am pretty sure my screams have busted every single window in the neigbourhood

A Day In Paris With Momo by Miu Miu

tbh, more than anything else, i am beyond relieved that this is the decision the boys have come to i have always trusted them, but most certainly not the cube of cement that's been dragging them and their potential down instead of doing what an entertainment company is supposed to do of course we're still in the midst of enlistment era and there's still some uncertainties, but i feel much lighter and a lot more excited about pentagon's future today than in the last year or two 🫶

#i'm assuming that jinhuihonk's contracts were paused during their military service and therefore aren't up yet #and shinwon is in a sucky situation too with his impending business trip #but i am manifesting that they will eventually escape shitty blue box's clutches too #like.... i don't think things will always be easy and smooth sailing.... but i still think this is the better outcome vs them staying @ cub
