Had the pleasure of doing these hand painted, commissioned, watercolor portraits for one of the most amazing movies I’ve seen recently Hidden Figures. I put so much love & effort into these paintings, because I was completely moved by the story, the original women, and the work of the actresses chosen to play in the movie. Yesterday was all about Mama. I dropped my daughter off + headed to my happy place to enjoy my day. No baby, no responsibilities, none of my usual day to day worries. The breeze through my hair, the sun kissing my skin, the cool water on my toes, every moment of it was perfect. Every now + then it's important to take some time for yourself to regroup. It's imperative that you take off your superwoman cape to focus on yourself. You can't take care of your tribe properly if you're not taking care of yourself. Reading to your child often helps build their vocabulary & love for reading. I've been reading to my daughter since she was in the womb, and now she LOVES reading.
