A Better Me

As I sit and wonder, I ponder what I see

As I sit and wonder, I think of you and me

Here we are today, as we never were before

Here we today, doing the same things once more

How can each day be unique? Our patterns repeat

How can each day be unique? It’s you who teaches me

As I sit here and remember, I delight in all your grace

As I sit here and remember, I meditate on your face

A life has been given, I had to walk away from it all

A life has been given, now I no longer crawl
