I think something we moved on quickly from was the hurricanes last year.

Hurricane Helene devastated North Carolina and there was people who had the fucking audacity to *blame* them for their circumstances. Like. The infrastructure is NOT prepared for that shit. They were not expecting all of *that* because that is not usual!!!

Hurricane Milton caused a ton of tornadoes in *south east* Florida before it even hit *west* Florida! And y'know what, we are also not made for tornadoes! We do not have basements to go to. We do not have tornado sirens. I got my information about the tornadoes from a livestream I was watching to keep up to date with the hurricane that suddenly got an influx of "there is another tornado in *my county*" (not kidding the kid literally went "guess what! Another tornado for *my county*)

And like we didn't get any damage thank GOD but there was so much damage in our county. And there is so much MORE damage down south. And nothing has been done. It's still a wreck now.

And I will never EVER forget my workplace deciding that we needed to be open still the day of the tornadoes despite literally telling us we would be off and then opening the next day at noon. When we weren't even allowed on the roads. (I refused to go in because FUCK that but seriously??? People are NOT out right now shopping at my workplace when they are more concerned about their fuckin lives after a hurricane and tornadoes galore)

I'm guessing (and hoping) Monday's 20020 update is going to get kind of deep. Why? Because from what I've seen everyone has responded to JUICE's "i don't." with "Well why not? I do!" and that's amazing!

'Cause like if you really think about it, the odds are not in Nick and Manny's favor and they probably won't be able to do it. But. But! Despite that all of us wholeheartedly believe they have a chance. Which says something about us, about people. And I'm looking forward to what Jon Bois does with that.
