We're making a 5 range, 270 pipes organ - from scratch. This is our weekly progress.

February 25, 2019 - finishing touches: mufflers to dissipate any remaining air leaks and handmade plaque screwed on. It’s (almost) a wrap!

December 28, 2018 - Real final touches. 12th in, knobs names glued in. What a beauty!

December 16, 2018 - 4 ranks in, one more to go.

December 9, 2018 - installing the knobs for the stoppers. Minus one that had a minor “injury” due to overexcitement

December 2, 2018 - we installed the Krummhorn pipes today. And then we gave it a go! What do you think?

November 25, 2018 - turning those pipes into clean, shiny marvels!

November 3, 2018 - time to connect the pedal board - leather knots galore! Attaching the tracks to the hooks via tiny leather knots has been a challenge for our fingers, but we’ve mastered the technique over time!

October 15, 2018 - wind chest 2.0 is done. Some weights to flatten out one of the top boards and it’s almost time to place it back where it belongs!

September 18, 2018 - next stage of redoing the wind chest. Hand glued bars (72) and extra seal to avoid air leaks.

September 3, 2018 - sadly fixing the leaking wind chest didn’t yield the desired results. Back to square one but already progressing nicely.
