“Well that sounds like a solid plan to me,” he teased back, his eyes dropping to scan over her face. He swore his insides turned to goo, watching Piper look back at him like that. His gaze fell to their hands, the remnants of the sparks that he felt himself tingling up through his fingers. I figured it was appropriate to one day send Lorraine Warren a fruit basket for having a panel at that convention that would open him up to something so simple and perfect.
Jack grinned, laughing to himself as he shifted his leg. “See, for me, it’s Ramen for breakfast, Ramen for lunch, Ramen for dinner, Ramen for a snack. Honestly, you’re opening me up to a whole new world for dining possibilities,” he commented back casually, head tilting to the side as he watched her. Suddenly he was blinking in surprise, humming into the kiss before sinking into it. His hand hesitated before briefly landing on her waist, only to jump up to hold her face instead. He pulled back with her, cheeks flush but smile bright as he nodded. “You know, I think it did,” he murmured, tilting forward once more to connect his lips with hers.
The longer they sat there, getting lost in the kiss, Piper swore time stood still for them in this moment. She finally pulled away after many moments and attempted to catch her breath. Her cheeks were warm and a deep red as she stared up at Jack bashfully. “That was... really nice,” she chuckled with a grin. Her hands grabbed his and threaded her fingers with his. She gave his hands a tight squeeze before letting out a happy sigh.
“Back on the topic of ramen, though...” Piper hummed to herself as she stared down at their hands. “Are you a master ramen chef? I’m sure with how much ramen you eat that surely you have some interesting recipes to spice it up.” She said with a smirk. “Or are you a boring ramen person?”
