Although many stood out among the crowd for one reason or another, Poppy happened upon one that stood out for the same sort of reason she did-- the sheer amount of brightness and color that dominated their appearance. She doubted he came from a game like she did, thinking on what he'd fit into. He definitely wasn't a character Kuroto made, that's for certain.
Bounding over to him, she excitedly looks around him once before coming back to stand in front of him. She had to look up quite a bit to actually look at his face, but if it bothered her, she made no indication of it.
“ Your hair is so pipepupretty! Did you dye it that way?! Or was that how you were designed?” Yeah, saying 'designed' isn't weird at all in a normal conversation, right?

Rather than do the most sensible thing, like say head towards the apartments. Sajin had been stuck investigating the walls to where he had emerged from. Everything about it was rather… it was a well made wall. IN any case. Designed to keep things in. Or people, designed to keep people in. The lack of powers did not help in the least.
Even Goro had tried to help by peeing on the wall.
It was difficult for her to stay in her apartment for very long; a rhythm game character was made to have an eternal supply of energy, after all. Plus, she wasn’t really fond of being alone. However, her exploration led her to witnessing... some sort of scene. It was definitely something that happened in front of her, that much she could say for certain.
“...Are you alright?”
She’s gonna pretend Father’s Day doesn’t exist.

There were a lot of different kinds of people in the city, she discovered. More kinds than she'd think would be normal-- and she wondered how many came from a game, like she did. There were some that certainly looked like they had to have, and there were some that looked like totally ordinary people that did actually come from a game. It became a hobby to people-watch, as she never really got over how interesting it was to see her new (hopefully temporary) home.
And then came the slight hope, and fear, that she'd see someone familiar. Her friends had important jobs to do back home; she knew that much, but she couldn't help wanting to see some of them. She'd never really been the type to do well by herself. So, when she sees a face in the crowd that seems familiar, although she can't exactly put her finger on how, she practically runs towards it, tugging on the sleeve of the stranger it belonged to.
“ --Have we met before?! Or... No, wait, have you met Emu before? Or Parado? ” Her words came out so fast they practically ran together. Her excitement at remembering the description of a boy those two had met previously was clear.

With the exploration she had taken to doing, it was only a matter of time before Poppy found herself in a nearby arcade. There was a part of her that hoped she'd find her friends there to tell her the entire situation had only been a joke, or a simulation she hadn't realized she was in. Though she had no such luck, she stopped at the sound of an upbeat song, and snapped her head in the direction of the tell-tale sound of jumping along with the beat.
She barely realized she was moving before she turned the corner to watch the current players at the DDR machine, clasping her hands together in excitement. Whatever anxiety she felt from her unfamiliar situation was temporarily blown away by two of her favorite things before her: rhythm games and co-op.
Practically jumping towards another girl that had been in the proximity she grabbed one of her hands with both of hers. Whether or not she'd been watching the players as well was something Poppy hadn't stopped to think about it-- she was already grinning at her, tugging her along towards the machine as the previous players walked off.
“ We should play too! It’ll be fun! ”

It was weird - a lot of the technology around was similar enough that he knew what it probably was, but about five generations ahead. Koushiro said tech moved quickly, but he felt like maybe it was a little too quickly for his taste.
Standing outside of an electrical store, he let out a surprised whistle, chuckling lightly to himself. “I think technology’s gone and left me behind.” A sigh, he turned, squinting at a changing sign. There was the time, and then-
“…Uh…”
Turning to the brightly clad girl next to him he pointed.
“Excuse me. 2018…Is that right?”
Poppy jumped slightly at the sound of a voice targeted towards her. She had to admit, she’d been spacing out at the new surroundings, so she hadn’t exactly caught what he’d said at first.
“ Ah-- um, what? ”
Actually turning to look at him, she cocked her head to the side. He’d been... confirming the year? Well, she supposes not all worlds would run on the same time frame-- that is, if she hadn’t been lied to and this was just a bunch of worlds dumped into one place. She hesitantly nods.
“ Mm, it’s 2018! ...Was it not 2018 where you were taken from? ”
