The skies are hazy in Kentucky this week due to the fires in Canada and out west.

Ingredients for our salad today: Tomatoes, Corn, Parsley, and Chives, all from the garden this morning.

A colorful summer salad made with produce from our garden: Tomatoes, Corn, Parsley & Chives, topped with Raspberry vinaigrette.

This is what a decimated Zinnia looks like after Goldfinches have plucked the petals to get to the seeds. And then they litter the garden with the petals to add insult to injury!

What's for lunch: Homemade Sloppy Joes on a Toasted Onion Roll, Potato Salad, made with Chives & Parsley from the garden, and Salad made with Tomatoes & Corn from the garden.

A packed layer of fresh Bing Cherries mixed with Blackberry jam will be topped with a Almond & Rum-flavored dough for our Cobbler before going in the oven.

What's for dessert: Bing Cherry Cobbler with whipped cream.

Cosmos flowers look so whimsical trying to attract pollinators like Monarch & Swallowtail Butterflies.

Pretty purple umbrels on our Ornamental Alliums.

Goldfinches are cute, but they are not very kind to our Zinnias removing the petals to access the seeds!

Our Lemongrass is so tall and tropical compared to the blooming Nasturtiums next door. Besides adding flavor to Asian dishes, Lemongrass is also a mosquito repellent in the garden.
